Same here. To make sure I didn't forget to check first, I even left the Obelisk page open on my computer to just refresh first thing!

There's a rumor that the Faerie Festival will probably happen next week, so that might make the refresh quest a good option. Only the Order has that...

Slightly off topic, but since there's no confirmed event yet, and this is a battling discussion, and training is part of battling (and we're theorizing as to whether or not using Order this week would be a good idea):
Checking historical dates, yes, next week has generally either been the end or the beginning of the Faerie Quest event. (Okay, so the year that it was in May was completely wacky.)

2011: 2/7-2/24
2012: 2/7-2/24
2013: 5/2-5/19
2014: 2/21-3/9
2015: 2/24-3/12

Apparently (and I somehow missed this), a new banner has been appearing.

All that being said...it might not be a bad idea to stock up on certain quest items now, before prices hike. I've already made sure to have at least 2-3 of each of the Earth Faerie quest items and the grey Faerie items (there's such a short list for both of these!). Fire Faerie has a fairly short list, too, and some of those items spike pretty high, IIRC.

Anyways, that all being said, I'm definitely holding off on buying a cookie until we either win the boon. Even if we don't win the boon, I might snag one or two if the event starts and they do discount them, just for future use for boons (should we end up battling for the Order again).

As far as the Faerie Festival, I do not plan to stock up on items in advance. Hopefully I have what I need in my SDB, or I'll pay going rate if/when I need something. Waiting for cookies seems like the way to go.

Just made it! Order it is, just in case we do get the Faerie Festival, the Quest Boon will definitely be a big bonus.

Whew. Put in twice my "minimum" already. Don't know if I'll have time/energy for more, but at least it's something!

I've also picked up at least one of all the Soup Faerie items. And I have most of the Fire Faerie items, so if we do have the event and you get asked for one of the ridiculous ones, let me know!

News is up. No mention of faeries. What to do? I think I might go with Cartographication. There's an avvie, right? And isn't there some uber-rare prize that's actually worth something? (Not that I'll ever get it...)

I did have some free time today to stock up on avvie items. I bought a few of each Earth Faerie, Fire Faerie, and Gray Faerie (that I didn't already have), and I started on Soup Faerie. Then the news came out, and I decided to hold off on any more; prices might sink a little between this evening and tomorrow. I might buy some of the more expensive/rarer items for the other faeries (but not everything on their lists, because that would be insane...).

I'm not sure if the event is going to happen or not, so I'm going to go with Faerie Caverns as I don't really want to buy a FC as my training is pretty much down to just HP and Level. There is a super rare stamp that you can only get from the caves (that is part of the Faerieland Stamp collection, which has an avvie). I doubt I'll get it, but....might'swell try, right?

I actually bought most of the Earth/Soup faerie items by buying them directly from the Magic/Smoothie shops. They're much cheaper that way. Took a while to get all the smoothies, but eventually it happened.

I've been snagging fire quest items in the second hand shoppe. I restocked some in magic, but my computer's too slow...

Also went with cartographication because Grainne's in the same training boat (level and HP only).

EDIT: I just restocked a bit in the smoothie shop. I was able to buy several, and then the shop suddenly cleared out, just like magic did. I guess this is the new random "clearing out the old junk," but magic was empty every time I checked after that. (I wasn't shop-banned either time; I double-checked.) Anyway, thanks for the tip, P! You inspired me to try again, and I got quite a few more smoothies than I did magic items.

EDIT2: While trying to snag the last few smoothies (only 3 types to go now), I got a soup faerie quest, and the one she asked for was in stock right in the shop! Grainne got 2 HP and 2 defense. She's getting really close to needing to bump up a codestone level now...
