Bwahaha...

You about gave me a heart attack posting that.

Oh, sorry.
Tek! Tek! Tek! Tek! I heard the news on the radio last night coming home from the Apple Store (yes, I posted that last post from the Apple Store--hey, anywhere there's an Internet connection) and started screaming. I'm so glad he's coming back!

Ironically enough, you turned out to be a psychic.

That won't take long. He's ugly, and pinstripes don't look good on anyone. Plus, if he and Schilling really do have issues, that's just another strike (no pun intended) against him.
I hope his arm falls of (metaphorically or literally) midseason.

That's usually the case: teams sign great players for a lot of $$, something bad goes wrong, whether it's getting injured or not playing at the level you were expected to play at.
*hopes that happens with RJ* If it does I'll laugh

I found this priceless, though outdated, quote on a Yankee-fan's site:
Why The Boston Red Sox Are An Embarrassment To Baseball
Well, the unprofessional, under-achieving, and ever embarrassing Boston Red Sox have done it again. In front of a national television audience, the “Babies from Beantown”, once again showed the baseball world why they have become the most embarrassing franchise in all of sports.
When Bronson Arroyo deliberately hit Alex Rodriguez with a pitch, and Jason Varitek sucker-slapped the Yankee third baseman, the Red Sox added to their sorry chapter of being baseball’s most disgraceful collection of 25 whiners. Everyone associated with the Boston Red Sox, their owners, management, and fans should be shameful of what this franchise has become.
Any knowledgeable baseball fan knows Arroyo hit “A-Rod” out of frustration. After a winter of “celebrating” their “world series acquisitions”, the Boston Red Sox are out of the divisional race and it’s only July. To make matters worse, the Yankees put the Sox to sleep while the “Bombers” number one and two starters (Brown and Mussina) have been on the disabled list. Thus, true to their recent form, the 2003 “Wild Card Champions” couldn’t take defeat, so they started a brawl.
To me, the brawl started by “Slipping Sox”, was no surprise. In my 36 years in following baseball, I’ve never seen a team of unprofessional under-achievers as these 2004 Boston Red Sox.

He should be glad he didn't mention how great Mariano Rivera is, and how he always 'gets the job done' against the Sox lol.

Well, Carlos Beltron is still out there, still a free agent. Who does everyone think he is going to be going to? Or is he going to be staying with Houston?
Rumours from what I have heard says the Mets, or Astros. I heard the Astros were offering around 105 million, while the Mets 110-112 million. The Mets want to be able to compete the the Yankees again. He would be only the 8th player to get a 100 million deal, with Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Albert Puljous, and among others.
Sure he has enough talent, he's young and his best is in front of him, is he worth it?

Rivera blew the save that night.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say he'll sign with the Mets.
I guess I shouldn't answer the question after he already signed.. But at least I got it right!
I'm not too happy about the Mets suddenly becoming better, because they're in the same leauge as the Phillies, but I think my dad is more unhappy then I am. The Phillies are his main team.

All a bit basic, but it's a good offseason "review sheet" if you're having trouble keeping track of all the deals. Warning: it's Red Sox-specific!
Spring training, here I come!

Whoever said March 20 is the first day of spring is a fool.

The other day on the news I heard how Pedro got to spring training 10 days early -_-
I guess more money makes him show up earlier in the spring =\
Fri Feb 11, 2005 11:31 pm
No, Lass, RESPECT makes him show up earlier in the spring.
Edit: I'm off to Florida tomorrow! Can't wait to see everyone.
