I feel really great about myself and my abilities just lately. I've started taking such an interest in drawing and it's cool to see the finished result. Here are two of mine:

What do you think?

Location: It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a Grue.
The chomby is very nice, it's a cool diving pose and the lines are nice and tidy. The colors look good. If you felt like doing more some work on it, maybe you could add a little shading on the fins, but it's a nice clean image as it is. :)

The ixi one is a cute image, and you get points for haveing a background, but it has a few technical problems. It looks like you used a fuzzy paint brush to draw the lines, then filled in the spaces with a flood fill and it gave you some jagged pixilated lines around the sky and parts of the ixis body. If you want some help avoiding that, let us know what program you're using to draw with and you can get some suggestions for that. The pose and expression, it's nice and cheerful and pretty well balanced in the picture.

Very cute. :) You entering them in the AG?

Thanks :) I took your advice and added shading on the fins. I also drew some bubbles coming from the Chomby as someone advised on another forum I frequent. The NTWF, you know that place :) Not to be big-headed or anything but I really really like the outcome of the picture and I'm going to send it into the Art Gallery for sure.

As for the Ixi picture, I can see what you mean. What actually happened is I had to change the format a lot of times (Jpeg, gif etc) and it kind of messed it up. I sent it into the Art Gallery already though but I'll leave it a month or so and if I'm sure it's not going to get in, I'll try and clean it up and send it again.

Thanks for the good comments and the advice :)

They look pretty neat, the Chomby's lineart and coloring are pretty solid. :)

The only problem I see is the proportion. Seems like that's your weakness :battar:

Here are some tips regarding proportion: (I'm always picky with artwork proportion :P)

Chomby
-the base of the tail should be significantly thicker than the end

Ixi
-the head should be rounder, try fixing the line under its left ear
-the neck isn't that long

Finally, the Ixi's wing should be colored with something more solid, otherwise it looks somewhat detached... :(

The coloring, especially the Chomby's, looks great. :D
As if they are both drawn by different people
Either because of the linearts, or you're just being lazy with the Ixi ;)
