At anime club last week we were watching this really odd thing about kids with magical powers or something....I remember it was kinda like Bleach (only not nearly as good!). Anyway, I wasn't paying much attention, but I did think that one of the female characters was really pretty, so I decided to draw her. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name or what the series was called x) Anyway, here ya go:

Well, you don't exactly forget a....-cough- figure like that....I think she had something weird done with her hair too, but I couldn't remember so I just left it down

But you can actually draw it from memory!
I only get it down really good on pretty rare occasions, after much staring at the manga.
But of course, there's no point in comparing with myself since I'm not the best artist around

The animation style of the show was really different from how I draw, too. I just remembered the cut of the dress, the hair color, and the fact that her boobs are beyond huge.

I found a link for the manga on an anime forum I frequent, and I'm torrenting the anime now. Hopefully I'll like it^^

What kind of pencil crayons are you using? Have you ever used a paper blending stub? There's a grainy effect to your shading with pencil crayons caused by the fact that it is indeed hard to blend colors in the manner you're trying to do. If you were to use a blending stub (they're cheap, i'm fairly sure you can make one, but they're really cheap) you could easily blend and press the colors into the paper. However if you were to use them, I wouldn't suggest using the same one for red/blue/yellow/light/dark sort of things, as the colors can be carried over on the tips of the stubs.
Just a thought.

I use Prismacolor pencils (I have a 120 set), and I do have a colorless blender. However, when I did this picture it was hiding under my bed and by the time I found it I didn't feel like going over the picture again.

I thought paper stubs didn't work with colored pencil....
