Kenji ever still remained idle just outside the battered confinements of the cafeteria. Nerevar continued to reveal no signs of waking, the daunting pressures of slipping time greatly fueling Kenji’s growing impatience. The bestial roars of the earthquake persisted, the surroundings continuing to wane beneath its tremendous force. He glanced toward Raiu, nodded in agreement while beginning to reach for Nerevar’s arms. However, something drew him to a sudden halt. A voice, laced within a spirit-pervading desperation, resounded throughout the frozen interior of Kenji’s mind. He sharply looked about, anxious to discover the bitter cry’s seemingly distant source. It blindly sought help, yearned for it. Obsessed over it.

“D… Did you hear that?” Kenji inquired, words directed toward nobody in particular. Was he simply hearing things? Had the pressure finally gotten to him? No word came in reply of his internal query, nothing but an undeniable urgency to act.

"Hear what?" Raiu asked Kenji. Raiu grabed the unconius boys legs . "We must get out now!"

((Lol, the quake has already stopped, Raiu. =P Think I'll wait for a few other replies before I do.))

I ask this because there are characters that have done much more than what I have done in this RP [Won't mention names.]. Not to mention you have already PMed me about this. I PMed Glass, and... actually, I'll quote her.

Well, believe me, I've seen more powerful magic [in Elemental RP which is no longer here], and having an ice shield hardly seems a lot. You didn't make the entire dining hall collapse, just made the ceiling. I don't think you went too much, compared to a few other members in the role-play.

This, however, is my opinion, and if you want more clarification, kindly PM Lillie. =)

From my understanding, magic was also practiced sense quite an early age until finally attending Erre X.

Children are sent to a special boarding preschool at the age of 7, and are sent to boarding schools at the age of 13. In these schools, children are taught to use their powers wisely, and not to abuse them...

5 years of previous practice seems more than enough time to be able to create a reasonably firm shield. [Not to mention being of the magic race and with possession of only one element. As you know, the less elements you choice, the more proficient you are with it.] I say this because, while what I wrote was really quite vague, I meant a piece of the ceiling [most certainly not the entire thing] fell on the shield. And it most certainly is not like it would of held for any great length of time.
I mean, a little bit of character building because of the earthquake and revealing a little of their power would be cool.

While this honestly wasn’t in my mind at the time, I suppose it’s true. I was simply trying to describe what my character would actually do in such a situation. About you only creating a few sparks, I’m not entirely sure what relevance it has to my character. o.o;;

I really don’t consider myself a power-gamer, and really do try to be fair in things such as combat. So that would likely be why I took such offence to this. :P))

((The relevence is that I was character building at that point, with the fact that he wasen't using magic and that when he got angry he was getting a lot more powerful. It also reveals a little bit more about what could have happened in "The Incident" that was mentioned in my bio. And when I said you were being a bit Uber-powerful with the ice shield I ment you just made it suddenly appear out of thin air, without concentrating, as I'm sure to make a shield as big as the Erre X cafeteria (which i presume is very, very, very big because of all the students) it would take at least some effort, even from the most skilled magic user. And I do like you. It's just I don't think it would be very good if everyone was suddenly so powerful they could do very powerful things without even trying.))

((That shield only formed around Kenji and Raiu. It actually wasn't very big at all. It was only meant to be big enough to protect those two from the bit of ceiling that fell atop them. Lol, if it was that big, it would have certainly taken a greater amount of time to create and a lot more concentration. :P Sorry if I was unclear? o.o?))

((there could still be some after quakes even thoughs those are weaker it could still shake the roof enough for it to collapes))

While Nerevar was unconscious he was having some relativley odd and frightening dreams. Then somehow he heard a voice, it sounded as if it were a large distance away yet very close. Nerev stirred a little in his unconscious state. Not enough to wake him for sure, but it shook him a small bit out of it.

(....????)

Iris ran after Chessa as she felt the violent shakes subside. Strange it affected such a small area...was it magically created? The thought of magical power that size shocked her slightly, and she pulled Chessa up from the floor.
"I don't think we can really go in too far...the roof might be unstable. I know. Set off one of these flares if you get stuck."
She rummaged in her bag for a moment, and handed Chessa a gun like object.
"Point it up and pull the trigger - I'll know where you are."

The mysterious seismic activity had begun to subside, bestowing a much awaited relief upon the scattered mass of students. Most had escaped the building during the terrific event while Kenji, companied by another, choice to remain by the side of the unconscious Nerevar. Signs of wake started to emerge, drawing Kenji’s attention back upon him. A familiar apathy returned as a determinative “Hm” escaped him.

“Yeah, we should probably get him outside. No telling how safe it is in here…” Kenji stated while taking hold of the boy’s torso.

Mon Sep 06, 2004 10:18 pm

"Okay on the count of 3. 1...2...3!" Raiu lifted the boy easily. "Lets hope there are no aftershocks" Raiu said with a smirk. Raiu saw the remaining people run out the door.

Chessa gazed at the girl with upmost disbelief.

"You-- You're kidding, right?" She said, blinking. "There is no way on earth I can go in there! I mean, I'm just--" She broke off. She was just what? She was just a little girl? Just a weak, helpless little girl? She was the one who'd earlier been mentally tearing herself apart for seeming so defenseless. She frowned. This would be a good way to prove herself, true, but... It was such a foolish thing to do for self satisfaction! If she got hurt, then what would she do? She would never be able to think of herself as a semi-intelligent, sensible sort of girl again.

But the people inside! What would happen to them? Sure, they might send a sort of rescue squad into the mess a little later to see if they could find any other bodies that had gotten trapped, but who knew when that would be? And anyways, if she got trapped, that was what the gun was for. She looked at the girl again. She seemed so much brave and sure of herself than Chessa, and yet here she was entrusting Chessa with a gun that might get dropped or broken or lost or something, and then the girl would be really mad.

Chessa hesitated, but finally, she took the gun. She gripped the cool metal in her hand and gritted her teeth. Turning to the girl, she smiled weakly and nodded. Then, taking a deep breath and focusing hard on what she was trying to do, she opened the doors to the dining hall once more and slipped inside.

(Sorry, I'll just make up a freelance person.)

When Amia woke up, she was free of her bed.

What the...?

She looked around, and found a group of people.

"We're a search team for any missing students. We heard you scream and came here as soon as most of us could."One said.

Some appeared to be healers, others just regular spellcasters. Amia looked down and noticed her legs were mended.

"Thanks."

"Just doing our job."

[The earthquake is over. For those of you who didn't realise. =P ]

Reyie looked over at the dining hall who was half destroyed and shook his head while making a clicking sound.

'Such instability...someone should write an official letter to the school authorities, complaining.' he said, a look of glee crossing his face. He wanted to say something, about the inefficiency of the school, but deleted the pending action, as he noticed some teachers rushing into the building to help the wounded.

'Should we help?' he asked Elily.

Tue Sep 07, 2004 3:04 pm

((Glass, you can usemy character if you like in your post. I don't mind))

Eliwood had been running for a good 2 minutes before he reached where the dining hall used to be. Seeing there was nothing he could do by himself, he looked around and behind him he saw Elily, a girl who he had seen in his previous classes. He also had a tiny crush on her. And then it dawned on him. She was with another boy. It felt like his heart had been teared out of his chest and thrown into the rubble behind him. Putting his feelings behind him, he slowly approached her and said "Erm, hi. I don't know if you know me. I'm Eliwood. Erm, I was wondering if I could do anything to help you. I mean, if you need any help that is."

Kenji lifted his end and, with Raiu help, began a path toward the building’s exit. Upon arrival, the two were greeted with the mingled chatter of the many students that had managed to successfully flee the building. Kenji’s half-hearted glance found a select few who he had previously met as his pace came to a gradual halt. He gently placed Nerevar on the ground while keeping a supporting hand upon his back.

“Think you could find anyone that could help him?” Kenji asked the nearby Raiu, eye unmoving from the static Nerevar.

"Of course I'll go see what has happened with the nurses office" Raiu turns and runs off. I wonder how long it will take to repair all of this. Man I am glad I walked otherwise I would have been stuck on that stupid monorail
