{ Requiem, your link is a bit... long... perhaps you could upload it to photoshop? Lilac, you are such a good writer -.-" Long post this time. }

Roy glanced at the recipe for the Angel Potion. What a weird name, he thought. Who would name a potion "Angel"? He stared down at some of ingredients listed:

Hummingbird saliva
Umshu
Snail slime
Daisy Pollen

There were many, and the list was everlasting. He frowned. Most of these items were really hard to get. One would usually have to risk getting crushed by a snail in order to get some slime, and hummingbirds' beaks were sharp. Not only that, they didn't live in these parts of the world. He glanced at the word "Umshu" again, and his gaze lingered there. Umshus were little animals, smaller than them, and they could easily burrow into a person's skin and lay eggs. Not very pleasant.

But who would use an animal to make a potion, anyways? He frowned even more. Nowadays, not many animals were used to make potions, as the people decided that it was disrespectful towards them. They usually only used excretions of animals like their saliva... or... other excretions. He smiled at the thought.

Onto the potion he was supposed to make. Healing Potion. Not too simple, but simple enough for him. Healing Potion could cure lots of diseases, but it was rather expensive, and usually only used in dire situations. He added a golden liquid into the pot, or cauldron, you could call it, and stirred quite a feel times counter-clockwise. Then he reached into a jar, pulled out a handful of silver dust and poured it in.

His boss appeared at his side, and he jumped. Laughing, he said a quick hi, then glanced back down. He knew his boss didn't like him much.

"The healing potion is supposed to be finished by now. Roy, can I ask you something? Why do you take so damn long to finish a single potion?" { sorry for that word there, I really don't like using them, but necessity calls }

"I'm sorry... the potion recipe over there intrigued me."

His boss snatched up the recipe, gave him a quick glare that said "finish fast" and went back into his office.

Roy sighed. He did most of the work in this shop. His boss hardly did anything except for stay in his office all day, and he had to work most days of the week.

Hearing a faint ding of the bell, he finished stirring, carefully laid the stirring instrument outside of the cauldron, on a desk made of bark and headed outside. In addition to the old woman that was there, there was now a young lady whose wings resembled a bee. Quietly, he felt jealous, as he didn't really like his dragonfly wings. "Hi there, how may I help you?"

((Sorry for the lack of posting...))

Aranea whistled, a tiny noise lost into the wind. She did it again, this time imbuing her magic into it to make it louder. Standing just within her hollow she watched the rain zoom past to plummet down to the earth below. A hurried scrambling sound alerted her to the presense of the spider she had summoned. She smiled as it entered the hollow and quickly climbed upon its back. Drawing the black cloak over her head she tapped it lightly with her heels and slowly made her descent to the earth.

((I'll post more with Camena when it reaches morning.))

((oh shush, Divine, you're a pretty good writer yourself, I'd say, darn creative, that's for sure ;) thanks for the compliment, though!))

Bee was pleasantly surprised to find this nice young man offering her service instead of the gruff one who had been there during her previous visits (she was also intensely relieved that the store was indeed still open for business). She had been glancing with dismay at the growing puddle around her feet - she felt bad for making such a mess.

"I'm here to pick up a potion prescription, just simple cough medicine, for Lydiane Azaleathye," Bee said, smiling politely and blushing ever so slightly, suddenly wondering just exactly how much dirt was smeared within the water droplets all over her face. "Oh and you wouldn't happen to have any waxed paper, would you? A girl fell through my skylight earlier today and the rain is starting to cause problems inside my - "

Bee stopped abruptly, realizing she was rambling and giving the young man far, far too much information. She must sound like some sort of lunatic, talking about a girl falling through her skylight as if it was some sort of every day occurance. And she had left the girl unsupervised in her apartment. She blushed just a little more.

Of course, she thought all of these thoughts in the matter of a split-second and finished lamely, "And that would be all, thank you. Except that I'd like to apologize in advance for the dreadful mess I'm making on your floor."

Heedenalphamangoploodingtofeet, although everyone just called him Feet as he ran very fast, was a poor and lonely person. Rarely would a smile come to his face. He only wore gray clothes and his wings were gray and droopy.

He could barely fly as he was younger than almost everyone, his wings weren’t fully developed yet. He was cold to most everyone but those who penetrated his outer shell could find that he was just lonely and expected nobody to bother with him.

His brother had killed his parents when he was only 2 and ran away, leaving Feet alone. He had often stole from shops to be able to eat but was amazingly talented at carving sculptures, and so sometimes would carve a sculpture of someone to get money.

Eithne awoke late; hardly surprising. She valued sleep nearly as much as she did anyting else, and was loathe to let any of it escape when at all preventable. She lay in her bedding of moss for a moment, peering drowsily at the morning sunlight. Finally she rose, padding barefooted (as always) the the mouth of her hollow.

She sat there for another moment, before suddenly giving a shrill, peculiar whistle. She stood atop the lip of the hole in which she lived, and flung herself forwards off of it.

Instead of flapping her wings the gain altitude and break her fall, as any other might have done, she simply continued in a relxed freefall until her fall was halted by a soft landing on the back of Star, her cat. She climbed untils he was sitting on Star's head, then pointed towards the garden. She needed supplies, and some of them were best obtained in the Garden's various shops.

Star began at a lesiurely trot towards the Garden, and soon the pair had entered the area, far busier than around Eithne's "cursed" tree. She knew fully wellt he stares and whispers she must attract, riding in fro outside the gardenin such a fashion, but she ignored any that may be, making her way towards the nearest shop.

"Oh thank you so much!" Soliel exclaimed as she sat down in the chair, "I'm Soliel- and I am very pleased to meet you, Bee..." She quickly shook her hand, then bent over to massage her toe. A few minutes later, she looked up at the ceiling, looked down at her pot, then dug into her savings and pulled out several jewl-like pebbles. She was abou to say, "Here; I hope this is enough to fix the ceiling." when she realized that the lady was nowhere in sight. "Oh, silly me! I forgot, she left!!!" she chuckled to herself.

When she realized that, she snugggled more into the chair, and finally started to warm up. The heat of the stove, and the tea Bee had so thoughtfully made for her made her so tired, that she could barely keep her eyes open in the chair. Sleep threatened her, but she stayed awake, thinking. When the kind woman comes back, I'll have to ask her, "Do you know where I can find a place to stay? My house, well... I can't live in it anymore." she murmered that over and over in her head, also thinking back to her precious rugs and vases that for sure by now were destroyed. She sighed, then couldn't keep her eyes open any longer. She fell into a deep sleep, which was amazing since she had never been able to sleep sitting up before.

--------------------------

Oliva Sweatheart was in a sour mood. No, thats an understatement. She was downright infuriated. "I'ts not supposed to rain untill next week!" she thundered at the sky, looking up and making a strange face indeed. She bustled back into the bird house, which had not yet sprung leaks, but was looking rather soggy, and looked for her son. Her anger quickly turned to fright when she realized that her son was not in the bird house anywhere. "Troy!" she shouted, in an amazingly loud voice. For such a small person, it was almost frightening how much sound she could make. The power in her voice certainly made up for her lack in size.

"TROY! You silly boy, come out now!" she shouted again, fluttering about her home, looking under her bark couches and tables. She had a sudden flash of thought, which frightened her dearly- What if he fell into the pond? She quickly flew out the door and into the rain.

"Troy!!!" she yelled, struggling to stay in the air, for raindrops were threatning to hit her left and right. She swooped down untill she was level to the water, but saw no sign of her precious son. Then she heard a laugh.

"TROY?!?!?!" she yelled menecingly, "Where are you?"

"Right here mum!" he shouted from the top of the bird house, where he was playfully throwing bits of rocks and bark at raindrops so they exploded. "See? I was just doing what Ray always does, except I don't have a bow and-" before he could finish his sentence, Olivia had scooped up her tiny sun and brought him into the birdhouse to dry off.

"You are a naughty little boy, you hear me? You should get a spanking, but I'm afraid if I touch your little rear it might fall of from being so cold!" she exlaimed as she dried off her son from head to toe.

{ Gosh, this is so fun. Yay!! Inex's here! Lilac- thanks for the compliment too!! }

Roy nodded along, listening to the slightly talkative young lady, smiling at some of the more... humourous parts of her story. "That's quite all right. About the floor, I mean." he blushed a little too. Why did he add "About the floor, I mean"? Of course the girl knew he had be talking about the floor, she was just talking about it, he thought.

He then checked at the list of potions waiting to be picked up. Glancing at the list, he tried to look for... what was the name?? ARGH! I can't believe I forgot! he thought furiously inside his brain, blushing at the thought. He went through each of the names carefully, finally stopping at once that sounded a little more complex. He looked over. Simple cough medicine. Perfect.

"Simple cough medicine for Lydiane Azaleathye?" he asked. He hope he pronouced those syllables correctly, it was so confusing. He laughed a little at the thought, then went over to the pick up shelf and handed a bundle to her. He glanced up at her face, noticing that she was quite... pretty. He smiled. "Maybe you should stay here for a while, you're all wet and besides, I could do with some company."

His boss came out of his office. "Roy, I'm going to be leaving, I want you to take care of the store. Obviously I'm going to assume you know all the closing times and such. I have a very important meeting to go to. Make sure you do everything correctly. I can't tolerate any more of this accursed rain!!" He gave Roy another glare. "AND FINISH THE HEALING POTION!" His tiny, little fly-like wings flapped quickly and propelled him to the bark, leaf-covered door, which he slammed with quite a large force.

Roy laughed meekly. "He's like that, Artur."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ray left quickly through the door and flew down quickly, arching his back to avoid some of the raindrops, dragonfly wings fluttering brilliantly. He was so high, he could see a little toddler throwing rocks at the raindrops and making them explode. He laughed. That was Troy, who lived with his mother, Oliva.

Suddenly, a large raindrop fell on him, knocking him towards the ground. He gave a loud scream in his tenor voice, then fell, as his clothes and wings was heavy with water and he couldn't shake them off. He was going too fast, and he couldn't see where he was going. He flapped his wings as fast as he could, trying to get back into the air--they were wet and hard to lift, but he succeeded in at least slowing his fall, finally landing softly at the place he saw in the air--Oliva's house. He lay on the top of the birdhouse, looking downwards, towards the pond. He was panting, he could have drowned. Clutching fearfully and desperately on the rooftop, he called for help.

{ Lol, webkitty, you gave me the idea ;) }

((Thanks for the inspiration Divine :P ))

Camena had just begun to doze off when some loud yelling woke her again. Jumping out of bed with a start Camena changed quickly and pulled a cloak over herself before rushing outside. Flapping her wings rapidly she flew towards Olivia's birdhouse, the yelling seemed to be coming from there.

After a few minutes of dodging raindrops Camena landed on the roof. Seeing Ray, his wings plastered to his back with water she immediately rushed to his side. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay Ray?"

"That sounds right," Bee said, smiling, when he asked her about the cough medicine. She was thoroughly surprised he had managed to pronounce her family's last name correctly after hearing it spoken only once.

Bee blinked after Roy's boss, a little stunned.

"Gosh, that's no way to bring in customers," she muttered, unable to keep the comment inside her head. Turning back to the young man, she motioned to the bundle awkwardly and said, "Thank you so much," as his boss had stampeded through before she could say anything earlier.

"And thank you so much for your kind offer to stay," she added, "but the girl I mentioned, who fell through my skylight? Well she's at my apartment, and I'm really not entirely comfortable with the idea of a complete stranger in my house while I'm not there. I mean she seemed nice enough, poor thing, but -"

You're talking too much again... Bee reminded herself, stopping short. "Well, anyway, thank you so much. I'd love to stay, really, but I have to get going." Bee smiled again. "Perhaps I'll catch you some other time?" Why couldn't she keep her mouth shut around this guy?!.

She started to turn towards the door when, abruptly, she remembered. The waxed paper! She had known she was forgetting something! Bee turned back towards the counter, blushing slightly in spite of herself.

"Did you get the waxed paper in this?" she said, motioning again to the bundle in her arms, "because if you did, it certainly is not prepaid, and I owe you money, and if you didn't my skylight is in desperate need of it."

At this point Bee blushed more, realizing he had never said whether or not they had waxed paper in the first place. Maybe they didn't carry it! Inwardly, she lamented how flustered and stupid she must look.

{ you're welcome, ria. It seems like we're just inspiring each other again and again, which is funny XD. }

Roy smiled as Bee asked to catch him at some other time, and quickly said, "Sure!" He was a little disappointed, though, he could do with some more company. He had turned back in to finish the potion when suddenly the girl came asking for the waxed paper she had wanted.

Roy almost hit himself. How could he have forgotten? "Ack. I'm so sorry, I have forgotten about it . I'll get it for you right now." he rummaged around through the wooden drawers. Where was the waxed paper again? he thought, closing the first drawer and opening the second. When he didn't find anything, he shut the second and opened the third drawer, but without success.

Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to think. Waxed paper was always carried in the first drawer, so unless Artur took it to use.... "I'll be right back," he stammered, then headed back under the curtain of leaves and headed towards his boss's office. It was locked. Roy banged on it a few more times in frustration, then turned and headed back outside. I'd just have to tell her that they were out of waxed paper, he thought. Which was when he noticed that he'd forgotten to turn off the fire to the cauldron. Oh no, why is this happening to me?! He looked inside the cauldron, where the potion had changed into an ugly reddish colour, which was not right at all--the potion was supposed to be silver at this stage. He quickly turned off the fire; he'd have to remake the potion, no doubt.

He headed back outside again. "I'm sorry, we're all out of waxed paper. I thought we always carried it in the first drawer, but," he cut himself off as he opened the first drawer, and lo and behold, there was the waxed paper. "Oops, I do have it here."

Oh dear, I must look so stupid in front of this girl. He bit his lip. He sighed in frustration. "Sorry about that, but loads of things are going on inside." And I've got to get home, Ray's waiting.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Raymond clung desperately to the roof of the birdhouse. He hoped Oliva would hear him and take him inside the house. After a few minutes, he heard the sound of wings. He looked over, but it wasn't Oliva. It was another lady; she had beautiful greenish shade wings. "I'm ok," he replied, not looking directly at her eyes. "I just got hit by a particularly big raindrop." He smiled feebly. Inside his mind, he was thinking, how did this lady know my name, anyways?

Feet had caught a cough earlier this week and it was getting worse. He had resisted it for so long but now he couldn't hold it any more. He needed a cough potion but the water had made any attempted sculpture futile.

He would have to resort to stealing it, but that gruff guy who always worked there knew his face, he had rarely seen somewhere else but had seen one before.

Quickly running to the potion shop, trying his best to avoid all raindrops but had gotten hit by a few small ones. He was soaking wet when he got in there but it didn't take much as he was very small.

Looking at the shopkeeper he was very relieved to see that it wasn't the gruff guy and was a different one. Making it seem like he was casually browsing he hoped that nobody noticed him.

He slipped the cough potion into his shirt and quickly walked out, hoping that he didn't notice.

Olivia had just finished drying her son off when she heard a loud thump on her roof top. She was about to go see what had happened when Troy tugged on her skirt.

"Mommy?" he asked in a sweet little voice.

She picked up her son and replied, "Yes dear Troy?"

"Are there such things as mosters?" he asked, hugging Olivia closer. "Becasue I think one just landed on our roof..."

Troy looked quite frightened, but Olivia said. "Don't you worry your little head! All the creatures thet you should be worrying about are hiding away. They hate the rain!" And so do I, she thought to herself. She carried her son to his tiny bedroom, and laid him in his bed, which consisted of softened straw and leaves.

"I will go see what made that noise, but don't worry! It was probably just an acorn falling from the tree above us." She tucked him in, gave him a kiss on the forehead, then blew out the candle. Humming a lullaby as she left, she closed the door behind her.

The rain had started to grow stonger, which casue Olivia to debateon whether or not to go see what the whole cufufle was on her roof. But its raining so dreadfully hard... she thought, but then again if she didn't know what was going on, then she would be "Out of the Loop," so to speak, and her being the gossip that she was, she didn't want to learn about whatever was going on her very own roof through the grapevine! She pulled on her brightly colored poncho, and flew out the door.

She flew straight up onto the roof, and when she saw poor Ray, she gasped, "Oh my! Why don't you come inside to get warmed up..." Olivia trailed off as she grasped his arm, pulling him away from the other woman on the roof and back into her house. Look at the mess this boy is in. I don't wany my Troy hanging out with this mischief-maker! Of course, while she was fussing over Ray, she didn't realize Troy was out of bed.

"You're right mommy, there was no monsters on our roof!" he exclaimed, "Just a boy, like me!!!"

[o.0 sorry about the unfinished post earlier.... I don't even know what button I pressed! Anyways, here is the finished post!!!]

Bee was so involved in her own thoughts lamenting her behavior that she hardly noticed the gray, droopy-winged boy enter the shop. She barely even noticed how flustered Roy was when he was looking for the waxed paper.

The nice young man behind the counter came back with her waxed paper finally. "Oh don't worry about it," she replied with yet another smile to his stressed reference to 'loads of things going on inside.' She hardly noticed how nervous he appeared.

"I'm just ridiculously glad you have some, I have no idea what I would have done without it! Especially since it generally tends to rain harder after dark. Thank you so much for looking for it! You know, I am so glad that you were here today instead of that awful - " Bee stopped herself again. It wasn't right to talk like that about somebody's boss. And she was rattling on like a three year-old who had had too much sugar. She blushed. Again. And this time she realized it, which only made her blush more. She really had to get out of there before anything more happened. And before she said anything even more stupid than what she'd already said. Idly, she wondered if they might ever carry her perfumes for sale here. Though right now they were not quite the quality demanded by the public.

Then she realized she had abruptly stopped talking in mid-sentence. She was pretty darn rosy pink, so she couldn't really exactly blush any more, but her ears started to feel hot and fuzzy. She blinked once and smiled at the young man, again, and motioned to the waxed paper, "How much?"
