"oh, come in." Iaran said. She lead him to the room where everyone had gathered. She introduced everyone and their element. Then sat down next to Shane and showed the boy the book.

As the boy walked in, Shane saw that he was very young. He had a dog with him. "whats your name?" he said cooly. Then looked from him, to his dog, and back to him.

((I'm back! Thanks Crow!))

Iaran smiled at the group. "Basically, we must adventure to 7 places on the earth. Each place houses a stone of one of the elements. Once the right person, being one of us, gets their stone, their powers will increase until they can control virtually all of that element, all over the Earth. Then, once all of us have a stone, we must use them to travel to a chamber in the centre of the Earth. From there, we can balance the Earth. After that we can return to our lives and act as if nothing has happened."

Quietly practising her skills, Iaran closed her eyes and focused on the book. Drawing its energy, she slowly began to levitate it and move it towards her. Dropping it on her lap she turned to the next page and pointed to 7 locations on the Earth. "The closest location is in my backyard, ironically enough. Deep within a family tomb there is the stone of Light. That should be the first place we travel to once we are all gathered."

Ramthura sat down on a low wall opposite Iaran's house. He had no idea what was taking place. He groaned and cradled his head in his hands. Everything had been going so strange recently. He wore white shorts and a beige shirt with sleeves rolled to just below his elbow. A thin line of fire crawled along his leg, wrapping itself around him like a pet. Ramthura didn't notice it.

"So I think the only ones coming now are what? Fire? Anybody else?" Kaila asked, looking at the newcomers dog. "Nice dog, by the way."

She glanced up towards the book. "So, you know exactly where the stone is?"

Another tremor shook the ground, and any lights he could see winked out. Power cut! he thought. He yelped as he felt light rain drops hit him. He hated rain! He looked up and saw dense rain clouds gathering.
"Great! No electric light and now sunlight as well!" He ran to the house opposite him and rapped on the door, he needed shelter from this falling moisture! Light was rapidly fading with the approaching storm, and he didn't want to be here incase a riot was stirred up by the power cut. He knocked again. Though he hadn't noticed it in the first place, the flame on his leg had now been extinguished.

Kaila frowned as she felt another tremor come. She leapt to grab the book, and then dashed under the table. "Two." she muttered.

It ended a few seconds later. This was only an aftershock. Or was it a foreshock? The first one had been just like it. She sighed uneasily, the power was out.

Then there was a knock on the door. She heard it faintly, but she knew why the person had knocked. "It's raining."

((any time ;) ))

Shane sat there, not moving as the earthquake was going on. So, i have to get the dark stone... He thought. He began to think of some place it might be. Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door, and that was when he realized it was raining.

Turai smiled as she felt the vibrations from the first droplets of water running down the roof.

"I like rain on a tin roof,
Reminds me of the sound of laughter and
I like rain on a tin roof,
Applause of the gods and the echoes after and
I like rain on a tin roof,
Seems like I haven't heard it in ages and
I like rain on a tin roof,
Thus is the wisdom passed down by long lost sages and
I like rain on a tin roof..."

Turai wished she'd had a guitar.

Iaran quickly tried to calm the room down with her mind, it worked slightly, only one china vase fell to the ground. I'm getting better she thought.

Then she quickly stood up and walked to the door, swinging it open she smiled at the newcomer. Perhaps we have found Fire after all.

"Come in, you don't want to get wet. The rest are in the study."

Mon Jul 12, 2004 2:13 pm

Ramthura looked at her bemused, but thankful as he stepped in,
"Thank you very much. The rest? What do you mean the rest?" When he spoke it was slightly quieter than most people, but was well spoken and demanded attention.

Shane looked up as another person entered the room. "are we all here yet?" he asked. He looked at the boy. He loked rather young. He must be fire. He thought. "whats your name?" he asked, looking at the boy.

Turai felt an intense pain... as though her blood were boiling, and her skin felt as though it were being inhabited by particularly lively maggots.
"Aah!"

Almost instinctively, she turned to the door... and saw him.
"Lemme guess... fire."

Runa frowned at Iaran, thinking about what had been said.

"What, you mean that my stone's right there outside, in your back garden? And I have to find it? Alone?" All the talk of stones and elements after a normal day at school made her feel strange, as if she were in a different world altogether. She looked around at the people in the room, one for each element. They were finally gathered.

She turned to the boy who had just entered. He too looked young, very similar to Earth, but there was something distinctly different between them, not just from their appearances but from the personalities she could feel inside. She somehow felt a more natural affinity to Fire, although this ceased to surprise her. Smiling at him, she spoke.

"So, what did you say your name was?"

Fri Jul 16, 2004 4:08 am

Iaran shook her head. "No Laruna, we all have to help you find it. And we all have to help to find the other stones. For there is a seal over the stone's chamber. But you all seem to be underestimating the tomb in my back garden." She smiled slightly, "The tomb is very deep, and has held thousands of generations of my family. And I do believe that there will be some creatures guarding the chamber, I only hope that we can defend ourselves....."

Fri Jul 16, 2004 2:37 pm

"All? Others? Tomb? Creatures? Stone? What do you mean?" He gazed around confused, before sinking into a seat, and saying, "I'm Ramthura."
