Rabid Squirrel Attack II!!!!!!

Sun Dec 19, 2004 9:23 pm

I think it may have been Zero who got attacked by a rabid squirrel earlier on in the year. Well, I totally know how you feel girl!
I think I've already told Skullsplitter this actually but I GOT ATTACKED BY A SQUIRREL!!!!!!! :o :o

I work at IKEA in Birmingham (drop by!) and you have to walk through a small woodland to get to the staff entrance. I'm walking down this pathway and I hear a rustle. I carry on walking and another rustle comes. Then suddenly this squirrel jumps AT me and shoots up a tree. I start screaming (loudly) as it scared me half to death and it JUMPS AT ME AGAIN! I'm there screaming and yelling and leaping about trying to get away from this freaking squirrel. It lands on the path in front of me and starts darting from side to side doing this little dance thing. I'm STILL screaming and aim a kick at it (wearing hefty, steel toe capped work boots) but it's still dancing so I missed. This thing wouldn't let me pass and started SPITTING at me!

So by now I'm almost hysterical (what? It was scary!) and realise I'm almost late for work. My friend was just at the staff entrance and she's looking at me really weird as she couldn't see the squirrel. God, what I must have looked like, screaming at the top of my lungs, leaping about, trying to get past this stupid squirrel.

In the end I think I must have scared it as it took one final jump at me and then ran off.

I'm not joking, it was really scary! :o Funny though.

I feel cruel for trying to kick it though, I'm glad I missed in the end. I've now come to the conclusion that squirrels are nothing but rats with good PR.

I'm sure the squirrels are after me though! I had one who used to cling onto my wall outside my window and I couldn't open it for 3 days in fear of it darting in.... *shudder* It's a conspiracy! The squirrels are out to get me!!!!! *hides*

I told them to XD

Can't say I've ever heard of a squirrel attack, but I really don't doubt it. :D Actually, I would like to see that happen to someone. Hehe Squirrels are funny. :)

My goodness... It sounds like it would've been terrifying if it happened to you, but it's just so funny! The whole concept of a little furry woodland creature our to get you... ~:>

Squirrels can be strange creatures...I go to a college that was rated five acorns out of five for having a "squirrel friendly campus," so I see quite a few of them. One time freshman year, a friend of mine (who is from New Jersey), was asked what she would tell people she learned during her time in PA. Her reply was, "Never say mean things about squirrels, because they'll attack you!"

Squirrels? Friendly? Pfft. Mine was evil today.

Yep, 'twas me who was unfortunately attacked by a wee rodent. Strange experience, it was.

I was just loitering out in the backyard, when I see this squirrel run up to the tree. Naturally I run up to it. It doesn't do anything, so I just thought it was being nice (and I was ignoring the weird grunting noise it was making...). So then I go inside and eat some food. I come back out and it's still in the backyard, and it runs up to me but stops about two feet away. There was a bee by me, so I thought it was saving me from the bee. So I loiter for a while and then go back inside to cool off (it was summer, after all). I go back out, and it's STILL there. I see a stick on the ground and I go "Ooooo!" and walk up to it. The squirrel darts at me and it was inches away, so I scream and try to beat it with the stick. I run to the other side of the yard, and the squirrel climbs up a tree onto the branch right above me, ready to dive-bomb me. I back away a bit, pick up two rocks, and chuck them at it, missing completely each time. Then I give up, and run up the porch into the house for the rest of the day. As I run up the stairs, I hear the squirrel going "EEEEEEE EEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

Them squirrels want our flesh, I tells ya!

oo;

We don't get many squirrels 'round where I live, but we do get peacocks not too far away. At school, you can sometimes hear them, and of you're driving around they kind of run in front of the car. Suicidal, they are.

More like homocidal! I think Zero and I should start up a support group. "Survivors of Squirrel Attacks".

But you scared the squirrels first! We ARE only hearing one side of the story you know. ;)

Now, geese... those are some mean little buggers...

I was only walking to work! Thanks to the squirrel I very nearly one minute late, which would've resulted in 15 mins work docked of my wages!! (Yeah, I know it's saft)

You hadn't...eaten any squirrels earlier had you?

Squirrel attacks! I'm lucky enough that I can I have yet to be attacked by one, and most of the ones that hang around my house bug out the minute anyone goes by. Thats sort of creepy. :P I'd stay away from squirrels if I were you. Heh. Odd though...
