Since i'm leaving tonight to go home i thought i'd ask what everyones plans for christmas are?

I'm going home!!! I'm flying from England to australia early tomorrow morning :D i'm very excited! and very keen to get away from the cold here! (especially since our boiler is broken and we currently have no hot water or heating!)

Well, I suppose going back to Australia will take care of the heat problem, eh rachel?

As for me, I'll be going to a few Christmas/New Year's parties, volunteering, studying for my Calculus exam and working on some school project's (If I get any).

I'm going to sit around all day and play with my presents. Hopefully I'll have got a new hard drive, so I can start downloading some anime series I want.

-shrug- My family's all fighting with each other now, so we're probably not going to go anywhere or have anyone over.

We're probably going to do what we do every year - open presents in the morning, go to my grandparent's house, then eat and open more presents there. Usually a few days later we celebrate Christmas at my other grandma's house because we have relatives on that side of the family that live farther away so they can't make it on Christmas day.

On Christmas Eve we have a tradition where we open the presents my godmother sends us (she lives in AZ), although I think we might be doing it a week early since my sister will be home then and not for Christmas.

On Christmas we'll do the usual thing with opening gifts (which won't be much fun as I already know most of my gifts and my sister won't be here), then we're going to my uncle's house for a Christmas party, and on the 26th we're going to El Paso for a few days to visit my aunt.

A friend of ours decided she doesn't want to spend the day with her parents (they're arguing), so she's just having a few of us who either can't get away or don't have any family to go to over for a couple of hours. That's about it. And that's actually alot more than I do. Usually I just sit at the computer or rent a couple movies to get away from the while christmas thing.

Egh. Visit the half of the family NOT in jail/god knows where at Grandma's, come home, sleep for as long as I can, then wake up and not get any presents because we can't afford it. Yey.

My holiday plans are to go to my parents house, spend Christmas morning opening presents with my parents and my sister, go to my boyfriend's parents' house in the afternoon. Later on in the week, get together with a former student to advise her on colleges, spend some time with my aunt, and go to a killer New Year's Eve party. Maybe hang out with a couple friends from high school that I haven't seen in many years.

I'll be hoping that everyone here at PPT has a wonderful holiday season!

Last night I had a work christmas party/dinner at my boss' house, and tonight I have another christmas party/social for my other job.

Having Christmas dinner with some close friends a few days before Christmas, then spending Christmas Eve day working, then the evening at my grandparents house (moms side). Christmas day will be spent with either my mom's family or my dad's (don't know where I'm going yet), then spending a few days after Christmas with my dad and his family. :)

So many places to go! lol

My sister will be here from somewhere in mid December to somewhere in early January. We'll have our annual Christmas Eve dinner (my favorite meal in the entire year, I'm greatly looking forward to it) in which we have all snack food and my brother and his fiance comes over and we watch a movie together and stuff. Christmas break, however, will probably involve soccer games and/or hockey games (GO ST. LOUIS STEAMERS!) and hopefully Nikki and I will go see a movie or go skating or do something. We open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning. Usually we wake up at around 5 AM or so and open everything, go to sleep for a while, and get up a few hours later for church. This year, though, we're going to a midnight Christmas mass and opening presents as soon as we get home, meaning probably around 2 AM.

Just thinking about it makes me happy. :)
