*shruggles* Me either.

Don't get me wrong, I love animals a lot. More than I can convey in just a sentence! I think I already knew that this kinda thing goes on, though, and was expecting it. It is extremely sad, though.

I had to stop reading, but not because I was deeply saddened. Actually, the story made me angry with the writers. I hate being guilt-tripped, and having someone try to manipulate my heartstrings, for something I have never done and will never do.

Agreed with every word.

Yes it is horrible how some people treat their animals, but people have to remember that not everyone is like that. >_>

Oh, wow. That made me start to cry. ;_;

My first dog we ever got, that would've been her fate if we hadn't saved her. (Although, the ending ended up being her fate anyways... She was sick, we had to put her down).
We also rescued my current dog. He was abused, and left on the side of a busy interstate.

I.. I just love animals. I used to work at an animal shelter, working with the dogs for hours. I loved going in there and working with them. A certain few even seemed happy to see me, because even though it made me get sidetracked, I'd take them outside to go to the bathroom (or let them go out while cleaning their cage, and I'd just sit there and pet them. It's a shame that this sometimes happens to animals. It really is.

The day I went in the the SPCA my dog was schedualed to be put down. They said he was around 6 months old but it was more like 2-3 years. He has been with me for around 10 years and I love him to death :P

That story didn't make me cry, but it was close. :|

Hmm, didn't cry, but it definitely was saddening. I've heard something similar to this a couple of times in the past. It actually makes me want to work at an SPCA. >_>

Actually, it makes me not want to work at RSPCA or something similiar. Because then I'd actually have to deal with it on a daily-basis.

Mmm... my sister-in-law worked at one for years, heck she's a vet. That doesn't happen on a daily basis (well, it happens every day, around the world, but working at a single facility, you're not going to see this happening every day, or every other day even. It's not THAT common.)

You're working with the dogs (or cats), feeding, taking them out, cleaning their cages, etc., not putting them down. Yes, I would hate to know that a dog's being put down, but helping the ones that are being held in the facility isn't that depressing.

I wasn't just talking about animals being put down. The vetinary clinic still has abandoned animals in it. They still don't have any owners and may be put down. It's still depressing 'til you get jaded by it all.

That made me cry because of the poor dog getting put down due to being unable to find a new home and from looking at all that happened to the dog from the dog's point of view . :cry:
