I haven't seen The Grudge.. it looked way too The Ring for me, and I didn't like The Ring (didn't find it scary, didn't find it suspenseful, etc.). However, Chris told me it reminded him of the bit in The Ring (on the tape) where the woman's brushing her hair in the mirror.
Yeah, that's what I kinda thought of too when I first saw your set. I also agree, The Ring wasn't scary about all it did was make me jump because of the loud music...
