Well, the Vatican City denied that the pope had died, and none of the major news networks have got anything on their sites, so I doubt he's dead yet.

Thats the BBC 1 news now saying that the Pope is in his last hours.
His heart and liver are weakening, and he has requested they do not take him back to the hospital.

It isn't true yet.

Like Shadowfare said, the Pope is living his last hours.

I, personally, am extremely sad about this. :(

Wow, that frying pan thing is, for once, extremely unappropriate. O_o

I went ahead and retitled it since the Pope's condition isn't completely verified (the orignial title alluded to his passing away.)

Jumping the gun, that's all that was, he's dying, thats for sure. He's been a great pope, I do agree with that, first non-italian since 1523. It must be amazing to be so calm while approaching death. Funny that they're lighting candles, it's Easter season and all.

Does anybody know how many people are in St. Peters right now?

And then the pope jumps up and goes 'April Fools roflmao!'

But anyway, I haven't been able to confirm it since there are too many conflicting stories.

I am so becoming Jewish if they do that.

I think this is all incredibly sad. He was (is?) a fabulous pope, and it's horrible we're losing him.

This is true. It's sad, I know my friend's mom is completely torn apart about it. I just hope the best for him in both his final hours and his afterlife.

My mother just told me that his heart and his kidneys have completely failed, but I'm not sure how accurate that is...

I don't see what the big deal is... Old people die all the time. Yeah, it's sad and I don't want anyone to have to die in that much pain, but it happens alot. This is, however, making me very scared for my grandparents since they're older than him.

hes also the religous leader of a sixth of the worlds population, and highly respected by about another third.

The Pope dedicated his life to service, and many people have ben affected by his charity and his teachings. He is respected by many people, and they are mourning the loss of someone who made such a huge difference.
