This is interesting... but 6 billion is alot of money.

Given that nearly $200,000,000,000 has been spent on pwning iraq, A 33rd of that cost should surely be worth the security of the american people. Wasnt that WHY you went to war in the first place?

I didnt realise Sir Michael went to war with another country and "pwnd" them. And thats some paper round he must have.

Please dont make me warn you again. Im getting awfully tired of it now.

I obviously wasnt suggesting that he himself went to war.

Ah I see. You meant America. Political discussion in regards to war. 1 strike.

Wow, first time I've seen a public strike. By Jim. *Is suddenly VERY afraid*

I believe that preventing attacks of planes is a good idea, I'd prefer to be on a plane that could prevent a missile attack than on one that is not, and I'd be willing to pay round about $21 for this.

Am I right in assuming that, on this forum at least, no violent conflicts have occured in the last 105 years? Don't mention the war!

sidewinders and sparrows are short-ranged and long-ranged missles..

Personally, I think it would be pretty funny looking if an airliner had a bunch of missiles attached to it, but this whole airline defense thing might be serious. However, you have to weigh the costs with the risks, and other things like that. If there's a plane that flies only a small amount of people regularly, that wouldn't likely be a prime target for someone wanting to cause mass mayhem. If they do start outfitting airliners though, I think they should do it in order of risk factors, y'know?
