Umm, what do Baby Turtles eat?

Does the turtle have red spots on the side of its head? If so, then it's a red-slider turtle. I once had three of them, and the only stuff I fed them was turtle food from PetsMart.

When you get a tank, make sure you have a place for them to swim and a place for them to sleep on land.

My four legged green pet has one red patch on each side of the head, and all along I thought she was a tortoise. Now, I am not sure what is she is.

Considering how many species of turtles/tortoises there are... I wouldn't be surprised if more then one has a red patch. A good way of telling between the two. Turtles carapaces (ie. the shell) on the bottom are rigid. They can't move. A tortoise has a carapace that has the ability to bend. As well, most turtles have flippers, and tortoises generally have land feet.

I once had a turtle, and it ate a lot of fruit. You should check the species of turtle/tortoise before giving it anything though, it could have a food intolerance of some kind.

I just remembered something that is actually useful! Turtles are quite moody and if they get depressed will commit suicide by starving themselves to death (RIP my friend turtle, with the generic name of Speedy). Watch his/her behaviour closely.

*gasp* That must be what happened to the turtle my mom had then! She had this teeny little turtle in her aquarium and when we got her this thing it could climb up on.. it stopped eating and eventually died

Why dont you check the net/pet store and see what they say. It is best to see profetional pet people about these things (not that it saved my sea creature <_<)...
