Not necessarily. Likle I said, people can have synaesthetic traits without actually having the condition.

I don't really associate smells or colours with anything, but at the back of the first test/quiz, there was this stuff about sorting things into places in my mind ...
To me the days of the week are a bottom-to-top straight line, numbers are a sort of curvy staircase, the months of the year are in an ovally shape and if I sort of zoom in it splits into the days as well xD
