I would have liked to have known what was going on INSIDE that room...

i think davin blane was the name of the magician i mentioned earlier, with the card going through the window. is it the same guy who levitates?
Yup, same guy. He's very good. ^^

Is that Chris Angel? Looks like he got a hair cut hehe.
I dunno why, but I just didn't find this trick amusing.

I think I did see how they did this trick on that one FOX show they had on for a short time.
It was some masked magician revealing how they did all of these different magic tricks and I think he either did that glass one or something similar.
I can't remember though dernit....

Ooo I remember.
That was a total scandal back in it's day. All the magicians were ticked that he was giving out all their 'secrets'.
I'm sure if you googled this (if you knew it's name) you could find how it was done.
Edit: after some google research...
some random guy wrote:The pushing through "liquid" glass trick was pretty obvious. The two helpers who held up the paper were part of his crew as was the "shop owner" who went inside with him. This wasn't a random store he picked; it was actually prepared beforehand. The glass was solid but it actually extended down into the wall and the lower part had a hole cut in it which was large enough for Angel to squeeze through with a bit of limbo work. Notice how Angel "forgot" to take his shoes off after the store owner went inside. This diversion gave his helper time to slide the glass up while Angel removed his shoes. He had to tear the paper carefully to avoid showing the edge of the hole and he took his time straightening his clothing after he stood up to give his helper time to lower the glass again. This trick was obvious.

Is the show you're talking about, by any chance, called 'The Masked Magician'?
I remember that, was fair ace. I remember the episode when he took off his mask...

Umm... yes

In the trick I saw he just picked a random person (well, that is always debatable...) from the street, then he removed this person's watch without him noticing it. Now the watch appeared inside the shop in the display window, and of course Mr. Blane pushed his hand through the glass (and the piece of paper) and gave the guy his watch back.
Oh and sorry, managed to make a typo in his name in my first post so his name is David, not Davin

Thanks for telling me how that was done. It was really cool. I was trying to figure it out and I thought the glass must move up and down. I see where the diversions are now. Pretty cool trick though. I'd love to be able to rig it up myself and fool some people. That would be neat. I bet we'd have to practice a lot to get it just right though.

Note that he was also getting out of that hole very slowly and then stood there for a few seconds, blocking our view from the glass. This was to prevent the sound of impact the glass would have made from sliding back down and to make sure that the it has already slided back down.

I remember the "Secrets" show. There was that one time a woman shot a bullet through a glass window and he caught it in his mouth. Then it turns out when he was loading the gun that the stick was magnetic, so he stuck the bullet in his mouth beforehand. And the window had a explosive-thingy attached to it.
