Aww poor thing, he looks miserable. Well he has to be to have his legs tied together. Here he was munching on fruit or leaves and then SOMETHING approached..he'd never smelled this thing before..or saw it before..should he run? He doesn't know how to react, maybe it isn't dangerous. The thing grabs him, but doesn't eat him, but ties his legs together, and that can't be fun. Then the thing tags him and cameral lights flash at him and then they let him go (I hope). Well anyway, next time he see's one of us, maybe he will run. Or maybe they didn't just grab him out of the tree but tranquilzed him instead. But they did say the animals were friendly, so maybe they just picked him up?

He looks quite pleased, albeit tranquilized, to me...

I don't have the problem with the tranquilization as long as they're not performing weirdo creepy scientific experiments on it. Which they're not.

yeah, its worth cataloging and describing these species properly aswell (plus, DNA samples are probably worth taking to work out ancestry and how long they have been seperated).

I think the tranq is fine, aslong as they release them back. If any are taken captivity for zoo's or anything i'd be rightly smurf off.

I say they put up signs or something warning people that there is some dangerous toxic substance inside or there is an outbreak of bird flu in the area or something. Or "Nuclear Radiation Testing Facility Ahead, very dangerous, do not enter!" "Old Mine Field Ahead, very dangerous, enter at own risk!" Just signs, no fences, just signs that lie so people won't go near the place. Of course, they'd have to be signs that people could understand...or be able to read..if they can.. Well I would say put a Harry Potter style spell on it so people forget it is there or so they never see it or suddenly feel a strong undeniable urge that they have left there stove on at home and MUST go now! Anything to keep people out of there!

If man kind hasn't touched that place in thousands of years, why would they all of a sudden touch it now? They should just leave the animails be, and not distrub them at all. No reaserchers, no signs, no nothing. It has clearly worked so far, why should they change anything?

I mean, they are like "This place is untouched by humans and should remain so. Of course, we are humans, but we are special humans and don't count."

Seriously, you can't have the best of both worlds. I just hope the scientists back up their bags and leave the place the way it was. There are something that, however much inviting, are best left alone, and I think this is one of them. =)

You know as well as I do that, that just isn't going to happen.
The land will be stripped, pillaged and burnt within a Decade.

And that's if we dont discover the missing link in Homo-sapien evolution or somesuch.

Mankind hasn't touched it because it was "lost". Anything that is found tend to be thorougly "touched" by humans within a short period of time.

Man, there are a lot of people here who hate people. I saw that tree kangaroo and thought, "Wow, that would make a GREAT hamburger." Is he joking?

I don't think it is people in general, just capitialistic nature that dictates the policies of most countries.

You have to face reality. People are going to eventually destroy it. You can pretend like it's not going to happen, but it's going to be destroyed for stupid reasons and everyone knows it. There really isn't that much to not hate about it. ._.

Actually, there are two groups with the name PETA. One is the 'ethical treatment' group; the other is People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. And as Fishy Joseph Gillman (owner of the Fishy Joe's fast food chain) says: 'The only reason we don't eat human is because it tastes bad.' :P (Obligatory Futurama reference - check!)
