Favourite Famous Piece of Artwork

Anyway, you said everyone loves Starry Night by Van Gogh. I don't. So nyer.

Then you're not everyone *ostracises from society*. This topic is predisposed to boringness. Also, why single me out for mentioning these generically famous paintings? As expected, most have gone through Monet, Van Gogh, Kadinsky, Dali, etc. Out of the ones I meantioned only half I mentioned are generic 'Ooh! Famous!' paintings anyway. Thus Igg is discriminating against me because...I'm foreign!

Most of his paintings are, but I do enjoy this one, because it reminds me of the skies out here in Alberta.

The Rhino by Durer, probably the print artist ever. He'd never seen a rhino; but did it anyways.

And anything by Rosa Bonheur is a good call. I love her work and wish I could find reasonable prints... but alas that is not to be.
Eh. I could ramble on. I don't really have a "favorite". I love a lot of art. I love Classical art because of how embellished it is, and I wish I could get the same look to work in my own work and I plan on doing a lot of experimentation with oils this year at school. Layers should be fun

I don't know much about art, but I rather like Monet. I went and saw some of his paintings when there was an Impressionist exhibition in Hong Kong.

I saw one of the Rouen Cathedral pieces. Up close, it was just amazing.

I would have liked to see this one. Actually, that's not the exact one I want, but I can't remember the name of what I'm talking about. It was something I was trying to copy.

That ones part of a series of 4 at differing times of day, hence the Impressionist aspect to it. Unfortunately I think they are all called Houses of Parliament.
