Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

No school today, and school let out early yesterday- I'm ecstatic that we're actually getting snow! It's barely snowed here this winter, and when it has, it's been like 1/4 of an inch.
But now we've got snow AND ice.
I'm bouncing off the walls with glee, but my parents are grouchy and "blah blah blah roads are going to be horrible blah blah". Party poopers.

...And school is cancelled tomorrow too

We had at least 3 feet of snow by the time Tim came home at 3:30pm this afternoon. The girls had a snow day and he was let out early. There are warnings that no one is supposed to be driving around and the girls' school is closed for tomorrow already. Here's a picture of our minivan taken from outside our kitchen door:
Note: The car was not covered in snow yesterday.
Tim says the snow at the end of our driveway is taller than I am and I'm 5'2.5". lol

According to Wiki, our record snowfall was only 3.5 inches in 1888, lol. We never get snow here. Once we had big clumps of hail that were almost like snow, but they melted quickly. It has never snowed here in my life.
Wow Jas. That's actually really pretty.

I'm expecting another ice storm. Tomorrow it'll be five years, to the day, since we had an ice storm that knocked out power to almost the entire city, and the weather's been alternating between snow and rain for the past couple days.

Our whole county is under a travel ban now. No one except police or emergency vehicles are to be on the roads. At some point we were getting 5 1/2" an hour.

That is a heck of a lot of snow! Never had the pleasure of experiencing that much snow before
In the UK, we used to have snow like that every winter. Now...well, I blame global warming myself.

I want snow like that. Even though it snowed for two days here, we didn't get very much.
Oh well. No school for two days is still a great thing.

I bet even if we had snow like that... we'd still have school.
-.- Oh, and we got hit by a chinook today, so everythings melting here.
