I personally always thought that, despite many people claiming they're not moving it, it is moved by the collaborate effect of many people.

For example, if anyone has done the Hula Hoop exercise, where you get a group of people and they form a circle with outstretched fingers, and place a hula hoop on their finger. Then tell the group of people to slowly let it down on the ground. It is amazingly hard as the hula hoop will continue to go upwards, despite everyone willing it to go down.

I think somewhat of a same principle applies, and that when somebody sees it going towards a letter that would make sense to them, they do not put up any resistance towards that direction, or something like that. I know I'm probably just rambling on and not making a lot of sense, it sounded better in my head. :P

I'm probably just wrong though.

I've used ouija boards many times with both positive and negative results. The first time I met my spirit guide was through a ouija board. I had some stupid friends in high school who got us into a lot of trouble with a board. >.<

My grandmother gave me her old board. :) One story I remember her telling me was one time her and her sisters were using the board. The entity they spoke to was called "Sam". Well, they asked a bunch of questions and then one of them got the idea to ask for racing numbers. They were just fooling around, but they went to the track later and played three of the four numbers Sam gave them. They won a decent amount on each and stopped while they were ahead. It's too bad they didn't play on the forth horse as well because that one won, too. :)

Unfortunately, her board was lost. I do have a new board. :) It's *so* pretty. I've had it for years, but I haven't used it yet because of all my friends and I went through before. I don't like the idea of using it with the girls in the house.

Here is my gorgeous board:

The planchette has the Tree of Life design on it as well. :) The gold accents are really pretty as well as the butterflies, doves, and such on the tree itself. :)

Here is where you can find more beautiful boards:

Some of those are just simply gorgeous. <3 If I were to get another, I think it'd be the Victorian Rose board. :)

Mom won't let me get one. Apparently, she and her friends used one and something bad happened afterwards. In my opinion, she has good reason for me not to use one.

But I still wanna use one real bad. Me, my brother, his friend and my friend made our own one out of a bit of cardboard. It was kinda freaky as there was a thunderstorm too and it was darkish outside. Nothing really happened though, just that my brother kept moving the glass x_x

It's a load o' rubbish.

One can learn more about the occult by just sitting down and listening to the Universe.

And having a signet of Obsidian, quartz and Amethyst. Just in case.

Ouija boards... Man, oh man. My best friend and I used to use her ouija board all the time. There have been times I have believed in stuff they do. I was at a friends house, and her mom does, er, "black magic"-like stuff, or used to. Well, we decided to make an ouija board at her house. We did indeed come in contact, or supposedly anyways, with some spirits.

This could have been a trick of our eyes, but after the "spirit" told us he would show himself if we turned the lights off, my friend and I kinda.. huddled together on her bed and turned the lights off. Well, we swore we saw an outline of somebody in her door. Her door was closed. A few weeks later, her mom had to purify her room, because they had made an ouija table (to sell on ebay), and the spirits were being bothersome. Then there was another time, with my best friend, where one threatened to kill us.

so.. in my opinion, they could be a load of bull, but they might work. Who knows. :3 I haven't used one in months, though.

I've never had one, but am interesting in trying one out of curiosity. Not in my own house, though, because I don't think I could bear coming in contact with a spirit through a ouija board and then every time I was awake in my house alone at night thinking there were spirits around me that I couldn't see. *shiver*

Sorry to bring this back to the top, since it seemed kind of old.

I have a Ouija Board and it really freaks me out. I have only played with two people and not with a large group. The last time I played was really early morning but it was still dark outside, my friend slept over and asked if there was anyone with us. My hands felt really cold next to the planchette which was weird, because when I moved them away they were warm again.. Well anyways the board moved to yes, and when we asked if it was a good or bad spirit it moved towards bad and it was really dark and we were getting scared so we just put it away. I havent played with it since because I have read about how it has evil spirits or something. It makes a great display in my room though :).
