If it's stress caused in part with my mom's opera singing, I blast music. If it's stress all on my own part especially academically, I usually do a little bit of exercising on the Gazelle contraption thingy I have while studying. :P

I listen to music, come to PPT, read, or play video games. I also used to take set requests when I was stressed to help me relax. So then I'd get annoyed at the set I was making instead of everything else, which sorta didn't help...but it was a good kind of annoyed. :)

Yoshi, the idea of a 'Gazelle contraption thingy' ,whatever THAT is, scares me. XD

I usally just take a little nap not matter what the case.

Deep breathing, drawing, and sitting outside help a lot. I basically do anything I like to do to take my mind off of what's causing the stress.

I sometimes break things. No, I don't smash lamps or anything like that. But if I'm frustrated with writing (as I usually am) I rip pages out of my notebooks, tear them apart and sort of slam dunk them in the trashcan. :P Set making helps, too. I've been frustrated lately with a novel I had been writing (I have now stopped writing it), which is why my set has been changing so much lately. :P

I turn on some music and listen for a looong, looong time.... that tends to calm me down. I also get online and talk to some of my friends. They make me happier. :)

During the day I'll go on the computer and hope someone is online who I can talk to and distract myself. I also visit my favorite sites and message boards.

At night, I'll watch DVDs.

Do you mean that glider sort of thing? If so, I have one of those too, and I do use it when I'm stressed out.

I also play piano or violin, photoshop, write, doodle, read, listen to music, chat, sleep, go on PPT, surf the Internet, play solitaire or similar mindless games, take long baths, eat comfort food, organize things, etc.

The problem is that I'm constantly stressed out (school, mostly) and all my stress relief comes in the form of procrastination, which ends up making me more stressed out in the end. That's what I'm doing right now. >_<

It depends.. If it's school or friends, I usually go to PPT so I can get my mind of the problem or sometimes I listen to music or just play some games on neopets.

I read. Its what I do most of the time when I'm not on the computer or doing band stuff. Usually I'll write about it(reason for being stressed) and then go read. I sometimes give the link to my friends and make them comment lol. If I'm really stressed out then I usually punch my pillows over and over again until I'm calm enough to read. At least its pillows and not people eh?

I handle stress well enough not to hurt people, but nto so to inanimate objects. Last stress overdoe ended up with me cracking a glass from squeezing it.

I yell and/or cry and/or make for as if to punch/slap whoever's making me mad...yes, I'm serious. I have literally no control over myself.

Tue Sep 07, 2004 4:32 pm

I'll blare music, and curl into my own little world if i'm at home.
If it's art related stress, I can't handle it. I tend to suffer minor breakdowns if i'm in a bad enough artistic block. Can't do anything right... and I just freak. I'll rant, i'll scream, i'll post horrible long things in my LJ. *shrugs*
To be honest, my LJ is my best way to get rid of stress. It's the only place I write... it's my personal snarl journal. *nods*
If i'm at my farm, I have a tendancy to take long walks with my rusty hatchet and hack apart dead trees. The whole process of tiring myself out whilst being stressed normally makes me feel better. *shrugs*

I can handle stress, most of the time.

If I can't handle it anymore at home, I'll find something to break/destroy.
At school, I'll go and hurt freshmen.

I hardly ever freak out though.

...Yea, what she said.

Whenever I'm in the mood to throw a temper tantrum etc., I text someone to give myself a line to the outside world, and curl up with a good book.
