For example, I would wake up halfway in the night, interrupting a delicious dream, and then, being still semi-conscious, I would keep dwelling on the dream and what a waste it was to wake up halfway through it. And then when I fall back to sleep again the dream would continue where it left off. Is this just me, or does anyone have similar experiences?

It's called deja vu.Maybe you were thinking about the dream and all you could remember was looking into a mirror, then when you woke up you and really looked into a mirror your mind told you that that was exactly what happened in the dream.
