Once my hooge Great Pyrenese Cloudy got sprayed by a skunk. We bathed him in tomato sauce to get rid of the stink. He was pink for weeks!

I saw this dog on the news. The dog was abused and abandoned and a vet saved it from being put down. He died the black parts to cover up past injuries. Poor puppy.

Hair dye is a pretty harmful substance.

It had discoloration around the eyes that made it look nasty, so they used a special dog safe dye to dye black around the eyes, and then I guess they thought "What the heck?", and finished dyeing the dog to look like a panda. I think it is cute and well, after they did that lots of people want one. And I guess it helps some dogs get a home that would normally be put down, so I think everyone wins.

Well then. As long as it's not unsafe, it's none of my business what people do to their dogs. However, if I owned an animal, I would never dye it for my or another human's pleasure (for the same reason why I'd refuse to dress animals in clothes, unless its for protective purposes).

Holy Mother of god. Thats so cool.

Its worse than selectively breeding dogs so they have huge heads and huge eyes but cant walk properly.

*cough*

that is really cool though.

Some animals like clothes; I know Kevin had a sweater that he absolutely adored.

...dye a dog? That's..... well mean, but if the dog doesn't mind, then I guess it's ok.

And my grandma's dog looks just like that. :P

Maybe, but I'd never put my animal in clothes (unless it was protective).

I'd buy a white dog just to dye it! Dye a big smiley face on it or something obnoxious like that.

Lol, sweet...

...I once left red food dye out on the counter, and my little brother took it and dyed Teddy, my dog, pink...lol, it was pretty funny, he is, well not after that for a while, a cream colored lhasa apso with a puppy dog cut. It would be hard taking care of his, would be extremely long hair...

Puppy dog Version of him (not actually him)

Full haired Lhasa apso
Lol, the dog kind of looks like a mop that way...

Can you prove they don't like it? And if it's going to help more dogs get homes then I don't have a problem with it at all.

I think that dog looks so sweet!

Or rats like being poisened?

No.
Can empaphise that they probably dont however.

Heck, every dog ive ever had didnt like the word Bath, let alone actually going near it.

Yes, because putting a grooming product on a dog is so incredibly like causing it physical harm.

I somehow doubt that you would enjoy being held down and having something put on your body, not knowing what it was.
