I don't find it weird, well, yeah, it's a bit weird; but the way some of you are acting is as if the person was bidding on a real human skull. Relax.

No more Bible camp for you guys!

That could of been funny, way to go

I saw this on the news a couple of months ago, and I dunno, haha, it's a little morbid having a little red furry thing asking who wants to die.

They did? wow.

When will people realize that calling media attention to these things and recalling them makes them rare and famous at the same time? Of course they're going for hundreds of dollars on eBay! What did the people who keep going on about this on the news think would happen?

The character only shows up in the South African version of the show, but yeah, she does exist. Her name is Kami.

Kami was it?
Could have sworn it was Zoe. o_O
No matter.

Zoe is the Spanish-speaking muppet on Sesame Street.

EDIT: I'm wrong. I just looked it up. Zoe is Elmo's best friend. The Spanish-speaking muppet was introduced a couple years ago and her name is Rosita.

Wouldn't a Muppet with AIDS in any African nation make sense? It would be spreading AIDS awareness in the area of the world that needs it most. I would prefer a Muppet like that versus any with a generic messege like 'be good' or 'don't talk to strangers' or 'never trust whitey'. Okay, the last one is a joke, sorta, but AIDS awareness is very important. Please don't belittle that fight.

I agree. (Looking at the snopes page I linked earlier, I realize that she's actually just HIV positive, but the point is the same.) I think it's a good thing that they're trying to raise awareness in Africa. It's an important thing for them to do.

Knowing Sesame Street, the character probably doesn't say anything about how people get AIDS, or how to prevent it. Instead, it probably just tells people to love people who have the disease, and not make fun of them or anytihng. In other words, no useful information whatsoever.
