I wish that I worked in a place that had public transit. I live in the state capital of NY and we have a bus system and I think one rail system (which isn't used by anyone I know), but that's it. And I have a 45 minute commute south to a town the size of my pinky. They don't have public transit, nor is there any public transit to the town, unless you want to count charter buses (which I don't count). If everyone lived in big cities like Boston, New York, Los Angeles, where there are massive public transit systems, it would be a great idea. But since a lot of us don't, we need our cars. I'm all for environmental-friendly cars. I've actually been looking at some hybrids, but don't have the money right now to buy a new car.

Does the university at Albany have a bus system? Most bigger college towns, that I know of, have some sort of public transportation. Here at Binghamton, we have both a city bus and a university (off campus) bus system.

The University of Albany might have a bus system. I am not a student however, and I'm sure that the bus wouldn't take me to the places I need to go.

The ones here run all over the cities (shopping malls, school, random stops downtown, etc). I don't know if you have to be a student to ride them though. You might not.

I calculated it, and we are paying up to 5.11 AUS a US Gallon... D:

Right now, here in Central Texas it's roughly $2.40 a gallon, when before Spring Break (3 weeks ago) it was 20 cents cheaper.

When I was in Paris, I saw the gas prices, and at first I thought it was nice and cheap, then I realized they go by liters. Now I know why everyone has those Smart Cars. :P

The way I read your post with the 1337, I thought you said your gas was $5.20! :o

Ours is going up again. It's not rangering from $2.39 to $2.49. Yesterday, we went to North Carolina (to by lottery tickets - teeheehee) and the prices were only a few cents more, as opposed to the 20 cents they always are. But, we were in a different county, rather than Buncombe. I could just imagine what that would be. :o

So according to that, the lowest here in Clovis/Fresno right now is $2.67 for Unleaded.
