Pff.

I have an exam on Thursday. It is about Greek Comedy plays. I have read each play once.

Here endeth the preparation.

*dies on arse*

*Fondly recalls the History exam where he ahd done half the course and had lost the notes he did have*

How I got a C I don't know.

I'll walk you through it:
Something happens. It's dumb, the kind of thing that even a wee babbie would know not to do. Like, say, spitting on a statue of Zeus.

The Chorus says, "Look at the foolish Romans!" because it's usually a Roman dunce who did something stupid. Occasionally it's a Macedonian or Etruscan.

The characters run around and try to solve the problem caused by the foolish Roman, Macedonian, or Etruscan.

The Chorus shouts and says, "Look what they did!"

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Oh shapu, you so dumb. Not in my plays.

I've got Wasps, Peace and Acharnians by Aristophanes. Good God they're foul/boring.

Wow, that's actually kind of cruel. The plays, I mean. I muddled through Peace in college, didn't like it one bit.

Indeedy. Acharnians is foul all the way through. Wasps is the best of a bad bunch. Peace starts off OK, but quickly descends into rubbish.

And there is always an exam question asking you to write about what makes it funny. Which I find hard because I don't think they're funny.
