Actually French from France is mostly written the same as French from Quebec. They blame us of destroying the French language when they use more englishisms though :P Anyways it's spoken with different accents. We understand them, they don't understand us.

Yeah! That's exactly it, well of course, Quebec french VERY GENERALLY has some weird stuff.. like we destroyed the meaning of some words sometimes, but it's not our fault of anything, we are not meanies, the meaning just changed with years here, but it didn't overseas, heh.
Yay for Quebec, well france too..
Yay for French ;)

Honestly I find french to be to complicated. With all the exceptions and verb stuff. I mean, once you speak it properly you can read it just as well. But writing it is horrible, all the accents and verb endings that you're never going to use anyways.

Omelette du fromage.
That's about all the French I know. My Spanish is similarly limited; all I can say is "tocar la guitarra."
Then again, I can at least remember which one is which. I took first-year Spanish with a friend who sometimes forgot which class he was in and filled out his Spanish worksheets in French. "Bonjour, senorita."
