Yep school started for me 
but you Chellie already know that.I had a binder,3 HEAVY books,and 2 workbooks and a 3 ring notebook...I got home and weighed it with the total being 21 pounds x.X luckily my Band teacher was nice and let us keep our books in there....but I still have bruises from the binder...and then there's my cousin who was a brat but we won't go there....

Just a thought, but to those of you who haven't started school yet (like me): Buy your school supplies now, before the mad rush for them occurs. Find out what you'll need from a friend, family member, and/or school website so you don't mess up.
As for me, I know that I'll need several 1 1/2-2" binders, pencils, pens, paper, a calculator that does scientific notation, an eraser or two, notepads, some kind of shoulder bag to carry some of that it, more post-it notes (handy as bookmarkers), and possibly a conductor's baton. Oh, and book covers. I can't forget book covers this year.

That's mainly what we did...walmart usually has lists and for once they had my shcool then they sent it out on our schedules....we did most of my shopping in Tax free week

You're lucky. I usually either use up, lose, or give away all of my pencils and pens, including the over-bought stuff.

I'm going back to school in a month or so. I'm pretty sure the First day is September 9th or 7th

I dont go back untill after Labor Day. Vacation has just started for mother,because now objectives are done and she has everything ready for next year. :/

Thanks Kitten, I feel loved and Callie yes I know school today was very hard and hot and quite annoying with the large amount of books a small girl like me or you had to carry.I weigh 82 lbs and my books weigh around 20...thats just wrong!

Yall are lucky, I just weighed by backpack, and it weighs 29 lbs.! I go back to school the 24th, and dreading it.

My cousin said they weighed his brother's back pack one time and with all the stuff he had in it it was 90-95 lbs. and he had to carry it all day....
