I'm not the only one who likes Larry! I swear, he's my brother-in-law. They dress the same for some reason.

"Aim for the moon; even if you miss, you'll still land among the stars"
That has got to be one of the most inspiring quotes I've ever heard, although I don't listen to the advice.

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow."

"To be forgotten is worse than death"

"It is not length of life, but depth of life."

I love so many quotes, it's hard to choose.

"The wages of sin is death but so is the salary of virtue, and at least the evil get to go home early on Fridays."

"Chaos is found in greatest abundance wherever order is being sought. It always defeats order, because it is better organized."

"Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in the cave. What can we know of reality? For all we see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say, humbly, "Go on, do Deformed Rabbit...its my favourite.""

gah! I wish I could remember all the ones I wrote for Ixistant's thread. Here are a few though...

Observe, learn, react... maybe the asylum wasn't so bad.

How fine you look when dressed in rage.

If you knew time as well as I you wouldn't dream of wasting it.

... all from American McGee's Alice.

"People say that what we're all seeking is the meaning of life...I think that what we're really seeking is the experience of being alive." ~Rudyard Kipling

"We as human beings are so small and yet so huge at the same time. We are so small in that there is infinity beyond us, but so large in that there is infinity within us." ~My ex-boyfriend said that once. I thought it was amazing.

"There are no epidurals in a spiritual rebirth." ~Dharma & Greg

I had another one written down somewhere. But I can't find it. Something about dancing and dreaming and loving, but I can't remember it. Maybe someday I'll find it.

"For the love of God, Montresor!"
"Yes," I said, "for the love of God!"

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before...

All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream

...just a few more I remembered... ;)

ha, edgar allen poe eh?
time for some hitchhikers qoutes methinks..
in the begining the universe was created..this has made alot of people angry and is widely regarded as a bad move

bad people are puniched by societys laws.
good people are punished by murphys laws

i lied, (georgia lass, dead like me)

we all understood, almost from the first, that the kassarans werent trying to hurt humanity, just the opposite.
what they didnt understand was the intesnity of a viral message on a species that didnt communicate that way.
and they couldnt know what humans were like, our tendancy to to obsess, for better or worse, on things that capture our imagination, or the way that we cling to even the most disfunctional of relationships.
they sent us a message hoping to capture our hearts. for the most part they did, little did they know all the crazy things well do for love

judas tarkenton (the bridge, by janine ellen young)

im done.

ha! I didn't think about Hitchhikers...

... some Phule's Company maybe?

The Few. The Proud. The Stupid. The Inept. Meet the soldiers of Phules's Company. They do more damage before 9am than most people do all day... and they're mankind's last hope.

It's more than a job. It's a misadventure!

In space, no one can hear you laugh...

Take a company of misfits, add one millionaire, a dash of new recruits, and stir up some trouble...

The inept strike back!

What's a milionaire bachelor to do? Join the army - with his butler - of course.
