Livin' in the good ol' Toronto(outskirts)

What is popular (aka, fads)?
Having Opinions. Seriously, everyone here has an opinion on something contreversal, whats worse is half the time theres like..no opinion to the opinion. Just a regurgitation of what someone else said.

Movies, violent video games, Movies, music, and the like.

What's school like (does everyone go to a school that has uniforms, etc)?

Al lot of people have the new Jimmy Eat World CD. If you lok at the charts though, RnB and Rap are somewhat dominating, though lately theres been an upsurge in Canadian rock. ;)

Uniform and other crap, I had dresshirts, which is kinda creepy. Last week it was cold so I put a sweater over my school golf shirt, came into school and was like stared down by a few of my friends for dressing like 'that'

LIFE OF A TEENAGER IN SCOTLAND!!!!Well, it's boring. There are 3 sort of "Factions". The Neds (talk in slang and drink and wear trackies and go "YOL'T MAN!!!" all the time. Check the Internet for more info), the Skaters/Mosher/Goth alliance and the Geeks. Then there are those left over who are the minority. Life is abysmal. It always rains. It's always cold.

Just an update on neds who go by many other names. Like, Chav, scally, kev, charver, scobe.... This website may help.

http://www.chavscum.co.uk and http://www.cecimoz.co.uk/ (Watch the flash movies to learn about chavs. Britains ruling underclass) :P

In Ireland they're called scobes or wahs and something else I don't think I can post here... and are exactly the same. But make slightly diferent noises and grunts. :D

Life In London

What is popular (aka, fads)?

This varies depending on social group

Townies (as some would call them)

1) Wearing akademiks (a clothes brand), If think the spelling is weird.... wait till you see the spelling on the clothes.
2) Wearing trousers (pants) around their ankles, but since I've been in New York I noticed they do it here too.
3) The latest mobile (cell) phone.
4) Hanging around in huge groups (sometimes of 10 or more).... anywhere they can, doing......... nothing much.

Skaters/Moshers and the like

Movies, video games, violent movies, music, skateboarding and playing MTG

What's school like (does everyone go to a school that has uniforms, etc)?

Most school do have uniforms but some don't. My secondary (high) school was horrid, it's being restructured (in other words torn down and rebuilt) at the end of the school year.... I wait five years for the school to close and they dicide to do it when I leave for college :x

Well, I live in Pennyslvania but I feel like answering this anyway sinc people think we're so weird. :P

Popular: Video Games, specifically Metriod Prime 2/Halo 2.

School: My school has 4 80 minute blocks plus lunch and homeroom, I think the typical school here has 8 shorter classes though.

Things to Do For Fun: Play football, video games, go out to eat with friends, etc. No, cowtipping isnt a popular trend here!

Foods: Typically the same as the rest of the nation, as far as I'm aware anyway. I'm sure we have some funky stuff though.

Delicacies: Corn? Lol, well, its pretty good here at least...

Weather: Imagine weak versions of all types of weather. Summers are in the 80's and 90's, winters are typically teens-30's. We sometimes get tornados, blizzards, and the occasional earthquake that no one can feel anyway.

Sheesh... you start off trying to prove that PA isn't weird, then you list corn as a delicacy. :P

PAers ARE weird.

I'd say just pretty much what the other UKers said...I can't be bothered to type anything much more out. =D

What is popular? In this part of London, for the guys its Simpson ties, and for the girls is Ugg boots. You know, those boots that have the fur all inside out and look like you just killed a bear? Also camera phones. I dont see the point in them. Just buy a bloody digital camera.

What do you do for fun? I'm not allowed out the house at all, so I make my own fun at home. Tv, games, and the internet are what I spend most of my time doing. I might watch a good hour of tv, or challange my brother to a game of Tekken. Or I might just nap.

At school, I have a small group of friends who really make me laugh, and its fun being with them.

What's school like? My school is full of many ethnics and different types of people. We all wear the same uniform, light blue shirt, dark blue trousers/skirt, dark blue jumper, black shoes, dark blue and light blue tie. Its quiet most of the time, unless the odd trouble maker wants a quick telling off. Other then that, the people are really nice.

What foods do you eat? I eat mainly turkish food, but I'm quite a healthy eater. Unless I'm at school, then its chips and burger for me.

What kind of delicacies are there? Mmm, hot wings.

What's the weather like? 4 days of sun, 361 days of rain

What kind of music does everyone listen (or the majority)/ what bands are popular? Mainly hip hop, R&b, pop and garage. I'm a mixture, but I prefer the oldies.

What do you wear? I dress really old for my age. Gotta love boots and fishnet tights and those off the shoulder shirts <3
