Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Wow, I really didn't think this topic was going to go far...I was just wanting to point out that it was disgusting on what Britney did, and I sure wouldn't have wanted to be the person she tried to hand the poopie diaper over too x.x
But then everyone started to turn this into almost a debate, and that a lot of mothers do this (I know, and I know that they do not get put into a paper about their bad child raising), and that it wasn't Britney's fault, its because shes famous, blah blah blah...
I just saw it on the web and thought it would be something to post. Bad enough she drives her vehicle with her kid in her lap, or she almost drops her kid and her bodygaurd had to catch him from falling and cracking his head open.
But, if your a celeb, and you are going to be a mother, all I suggest is looking into what being a mother is all about, and now that every move you make, there will be someone watching you, and someone is going to write about you.
On and end note, I really didn't want this topic to get out of hand -.-
You can lock if needed to!

If you watch the video she didn't almost trip and kill her kid. She tripped. Big whoop. Lots of mothers trip. OMG. SOMEONE TRIPPED. IT MAKES THE NEWS. It's not like she dangled the baby out the window like a certain other celebrity did.
The driving thing irks me, she shouldn't have done it, but I can sorta understand why she did. If you were being mobbed by people with flashing cameras, you'd feel a bit crappy too. Seriously, people just need to lay off the hounding of celebrities. Gawk a little, look at them, but don't go hounding them for photos. It's disgusting. These people are totally into voy.
The whole thing with her baby falling out of a high chair was ridiculous as well. The baby fell otu of the high chair. I'm sorry. I have nephews. I find it totally understandable that one of them could fall out of their freaking chairs. They're surprisingly muscular yet jelly like things! And then the doctors sent child services to see if her kid (Britneys) was being abused. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Just leave the woman be. I'm pretty sure that when a lot of the people on this thread become adults, and become parents, that their views may perhaps change a little.

Imagine being a young mother and having your every move followed in the press. It's disgusting.

I don't think changing a dirty diaper is gross, but I don't think it should be done in the middle of a store. She could have at least gone into a changing room. I'm sure the store she was shopping at had one. Of course, I also don't think it should have made the news. I'm with Inrun on the other issues. None of them were a big deal if you look at why/how they were done. If you take them out of context (omg brittney drove with her baby on her lap!1!!!) yeah it sounds bad. But if you explain why then you can see why it shouldn't have ever been a news bit.

There's no real excuse for it. It's inapropriate and disgusting. I do not want to see some kid sucking tit while I'm flying a kite or riding my bike.
Nobody's asking you to stare. To be honest you're pretty immature if you can't cope with someone breastfeeding while you're out and about. (BTW, if you're riding your bike you really should be concentrating on other things, road safety anyone??).
There's no excuse? it's called FEEDING A BABY. Lots of babies prefer to breastfeed, as do some mothers, and the health benefits are much publicised.
I think the description of breast feeding as 'disgusting' is incredibly offensive.
But DM is right, we shouldn't be having a debate. So everyone just chill out and remember that I am always right. Cheers.
I don't think I'm immature but I find that breast feeding in public if not done modestly can be rather disgusting o-o. Don't get me wrong my best friend has had a baby not long ago and she breast feeds her baby. Yes she could pump the breast milk and use that but breast milk is highly perishable and doesn't last long at all so sometimes it's just not convinient. (and don't tell me that mothers who can breast feed should buy formula so you don't have to see them breast feeding their babies, which is what doctors recommend if babies will take it)
Anyhow, back to my point, she breast feeds and it's fine, she covers up. There are weird contraptions out there to cover up but she just puts a light cover over her and makes a tent. Yay for breast feeding and her baby.
However I'm at walmart buying my stuff and don't get me wrong I have boobies, I'm a girl I've seen boobies other than my own...and don't get me wrong after I say this because I hate my own breast and think they are hideous but, this lady she just wips out her boob in public and there it is right in front of my face in my field of vision...big huge boob with dark nipples...which are now imprinted in my brain forever x_x...and ever and evahhhhhhh. Now, I have no problem with breast feeding, I may have to do it myself some time if I choose to have kiddos but come on lets be a little considerate of others. I had no time to avert my eyes, I was a victim of breast feeding boobage attack x_x.
Okay maybe I really had no point here, but I had to express how I've been scarred, venting has made me feel a little better...but yes please watch where you point those things.

I saw the video of that, and they did a close up on her shoes and they broke. Well, the platform part did and that's why she tripped.

I agree with you; she said that the photographers surrounded her and were hitting her car -- I suppose trying to get her to look so they can have a picture. Because of this hitting, the baby started to cry and she was scared for him hence why she placed him on his lap and drove off. I do understand why she did it, I'm not sure what I would've done in that situation.

I heard that she like drove for a while to get away O_O. What she should have done is put the baby back in the seat and then ran over the annoying photographers

...now that is supermom in my eyes
