Uh, Scotland is part of the UK - there's lots of names for fizzy drinks - ginger, juice, jeg and skoosh... there's probably more in dialects I don't know.


Well I was referring to maybe walking into the supermarket and asking for the "Fizzy Drink section" but yeah.. obviously I was wrong!

In the Midwest we call it pop, but for some reason everyone calls it soda. Pop sounds better, it's only 1 syllable, soda is 2 syllables, it sounds weird to me. I don't know why though.
