I'm sorry that people are acting that way towards you! There's no excuse for that. 
I'm a redhead too, and it seems weird to me that people give you trouble over it, because I don't think anyone has ever said anything nasty to me because of my hair! And mine is really long, too, so it's noticable. I hope that the people you're around grow up sometime, because hair color is a stupid thing to tease others about.

I'm a redhead myself. Though, people here are actually jealous of my hair, and want it. XD; Apparently, I have nice natural color. (I live in SK, Canada, by the way)
