I have a few favourites, but a couple years ago I went through this Napoleon obsession and one quote that stuck out about him that I could never forget was:

"The story of Napoleon produces on me an impression like that produced by the Revelation of St. John the Divine. We all feel that there must be something more in it, but we do not know what." --- Goethe

"There isn't much thrill in success unless one has been close to failure."

"The difficulties and struggles of today are but the price we must pay for the accomplishments and victories of tomorrow."

I know that none of them are always amazing, but the last two are things that have kind of helped me out. Once my friend said the following to me, and for some reason I'll never forget it.

"self esteem...*shrugs*... two words that mean the world to ourselves and nothing to the people across from us."

I don't know if that makes sense to any of you, but for some reaosn I'll never forget it.

"I'm sick to death of people saying we've made 11 albums that sounds exactly the same, Infact, we've made 12 albums that sound exactly the same" - Angus Young

"Oh, we've had our share of hotels bein' smashed and all, but that was a long time ago. You get lousy room service... I mean, there's no use throwin' a TV set out the window for the sake of throwin' a TV set out the window. But if you get a lousy picture then you have an excuse" -Angus Young

"You mean an undrugged album?"
-Angus Young, being asked if AC/DC would do an Unplugged album

"Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas."
-Joseph Stalin

"Your presence does not surprise me, Assassin. I have known of you ever
since your craft entered the Eastern Fringes. Why did I not have you
killed? Because your mission and the act you are about to commit proves
the truth of all I have ever said or done. I merely punished those who
had wronged, just as your false Emperor now seeks to punish me. Death is
nothing compared to vindication." - Konrad Kurze, Primarch of the Night Lords legion, Warhammer 40k

Sometimes the good ust perish, so that the rest might survive.
The lot of courage is to sacrafice yourself upon the altar of battle, to save those who are undeserving of your compassion - me, in one of my more "human loving" moments

The fermi paradox says that if aliens existed, we would know, we would see their great empires of their ruins, we would ehar the chatter, we would detect their great works, Dyson spheres, Terraformed planets, singularite power plants, whatever.
and yet... nothing.
The answer is simple, we stand here alone because we are the first, we ARE the old ones, the ancients, whatever you want to call them.
we ARE the first mind. -Me

'Ello all. I'm back. These are from TVU:

"What are you really waiting for?"
"If all your friends jumped off a bridge, then you wouldn't have any."
"Cowabunga."
"47% better than government cheese"
"100% commercial free, 0% TiVo needed"

Invader Zim: "Gir! Why is there bacon in the cleasing chalk!?
Gir: "I made it myself!"

Napolean: It took me like 3 hours to do the shading on your upper lip. Its probably one of the best pictures I've ever drawn.

Pessimistic: "Life sucks no matter what, so don't be fooled by scenery changes-Daria"

Optimistic: "Learn not for the future, your school, your family, no one. Learn so YOU can keep going ahead of the future, your school, your family, everyone."

Hahah, most of my favorite quotes are from experiences I've had.

"Oh my god we're in a gay bar"... don't make me explain.. hahah

"Good thing they don't make it 'til you order it". My friend and I were walking to jack in the box, and we saw some guys that... weren't too fond of us go in. Now, we could fight them and win, if it was one on one, but this would have been six on two, so no dice. So they go in, see us, and order, waiting for us to come in. We start walking away, and my friend goes "Good thing they don't make it until you order it"... One of my favorite moments of all time.

Roughly quoted, "Sometimes the best things you can do aren't noticed by anyone" I got that from futurama... I've found it to be really, really true.

And of course, a lyric from a local band, "Between the liberal bias, the conservative pious, between the wrong and right and outer space"

"Who alone suffers, suffers most i' the mind." - From King Lear

There are many quotes from my friends that I really enjoy, but they're all inappropriate, or discuss gag reflexes. Hahahah.

My favorite quote is:

"There is no knowledge that is not power."

"2% Of all Canadians think John A Macdonald is the queen."

"Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second guesses
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes...and leap
It's time to try defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity
And you can't hold me down..."
- Elphaba (aka: the wicked witch of the west) from Wicked (the musical)

i have just now fallen in love with Setekhs mournful song.
"Jealous I am
But what man is not?
What man with a lovely wife
Can say that he has not been jealous
Without lying?
I slew my brother, flesh of my flesh,
But not without cause,
For in a drunken stupor,
He lay with my bride,
What man has not wished to
Kill the defiler of his beloved?
I tortured and fought with his boy, true
For in him I saw his father's taint
And his mother's sharp tongue
And the recklessness of youth
But I and my brother are in peace now,
Even if my nephew and I are not
My brother has no claim on my issue
Anpu is MY son
No more need to be said
I am vindicated by the form of my son
Son of his father
I am chaos, as freedom is chaos
As life is chaos
As love is chaos
My laughter is the thunder
My tears dry to become the golden sands
My loneliness fills the barren places
I am Setekh, Dark Prince
Lord of Strength
White Hound of the Wastes
Protector of the Ennead
and Defender of Kemet."
