I was reading a rather fantastic article in this weekends "Weekend Extra" about a crocodile breeder, who sells his crocodiles for their skins and meat, aswell as running the zoo up in Broome (which i've been to before :D )

Now, i'm a vegetarian, so I wouldn't eat it for those reasons, but to all you lovely carnivourous chaps out there, would you ever dig into a nice crocodile steak?

I've had alligator before at a local seafood restaurant, tasted like chicken (seriously). I don't think crocodile could be that much different, so yeah I would.

Probably, I can't see myself having any objection to it.

Yes, I would.

Only if it was a crocodile that didn't suffer at the hands of humans before it died.

i've always wondered. there are all these things that supposedly 'taste like chicken', but surely if they all taste like chicken they all taste like each other, which they probably dont...

anyway, this thread has now caused me to get the following song stuck in my head 'never smile at a crocodile, no you cant get friendly with a crocodlie, dont be taken in, by his welcome grin, he's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin...'

and my answer, yes, i would eat some.

I tried alligator a few years ago, and I thought it was pretty good. It tastes a lot like chicken.

I've had alligator before when my family visited the Alligator Zoo in Florida. It's pretty good and it does taste like chicken. lol It reminded me of the chicken strips you get at Ardee's. A bit spicy, but good. :)

I wouldn't see why not. It sounds like it doesn't taste too bad. So as long as it's not a radioactive alligator, I'll probably eat it, lol.
