This game sounds amazing. You start off with making ameba like creatures that eat other ameba like creatures. You can design them to be any shape and make your own skins and stuff. As your creature evolves, you can play around with the skeleton. There are not really any skeletons to choose from. Unlike the sims, you have more control over what your creature will look like and the game just "figures out" how it will move.
As your creatures evolve they can explore the land and finally they go into a kind of god mode where they can control their world and finally visit other people's worlds. I think there is a way you can go online to download other people's worlds or have a war or something. It all sounds very neat.

....Wow. I read the entire article and I'm really interested in it. (I wonder how much it will be?) I really hope this comes out this year, it's sooo going on my wishlist. Creating little creatures...evolving them...making your own tribes. It's like owning your own little world full of a bunch of beasties and other little critters.
I cannot wait. I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Looks amazing. If he pulls this off even half as well as the article promises, Will Wright will be a legend of game design along with Peter Molyneux and Sid Meier.

They say that in a thousand years time, technology could be so evolved that the present now could be a gameworld for a literal 'god'.
One step for gaming, 2005 years for Earths civilisation.
However, the game DOES look amazing!

Will Wright is defiantely a visionary, and this proves it. It kinda reminds me of that old game SimLife just a hundred times better, and by the way he talks the game won't take excessive ammounts of space, but I dunno, that is alot of content.

I'd spend alot of time making my creature really ferocious looking (but have it as a vegetarian) and ten make it smart. I think soemthing with huge claws would be awesome ^.^
I'd like to make two species and ahve them work together so I could design two that compliment eachother ya know?

Holy moley. I was always waiting for the day a world sim similar to this would come out, but what Will had in mind, I wouldn't have thought possible for at least 20 years. And not only was I wrong about the 20 years deal, but this game is a freaking universe sim! Unbelieveable
If he pulls this off, he can get away with charging $400 or more for this game, and people will buy it. It'll be on PC I assume. When it comes out, I will buy it.

Oh boy, let's hope it's not too expensive. I'm predicting a release of about $50-$60. (Hopefully, that's about all I can afford.) I'm already half-planning out my critters, their worlds and what I want to do. One planet will be peaceful and all wuv each other every much.
And another will be full of power hungry killers that attack for no reason.

I can see this being a pay-to-play internet game, really. Sort of like World of Warcraft.
Myself, I'd be willing to spend upt o $100 just on the game alone. I could probably scrounge the extra money needed to play it monthly from my folks.

Hmm I cant see how playing on the net would work, civilization way, but i could have fun pitting my creatures against some elses. Internet wise, i'd rather not pay for it but i'd like to download other peoples creatures and stuff.
