The Sims 2 on other consoles

Sat May 07, 2005 4:45 pm

Alright people, the sims 2 on PC was great :)

guess what, it's gonna come to other consoles :D

these are all remakes of the PC version with apparently more Create-A-Sim functions with options to change the shape of the head and body and a new create-a-fashion mode *spiffy* and you can create your own meals with over a 60 ingredients and a lot of kitchen appliances

each console will have it's own specifications :D

PS2, XBOX, NGC
These three all stick to the PC version, with added special features :)

Playstation 2 will have Eyetoy functions to put yourself into the game as a sim, a wallpaper or even a t-shirt

Gamecube players are able to unlock items as they progress through the game

Xbox people will be able to play it in 720p on HDTV setups (better image =D)

GBA & DS
Both of these Nintendo Handhelds take place in Strangetown, you can play it as if you were playing The Urbz, they have storylines and lots of interactions with different people

On the game boy advance you are a star in a tv-show. These are 20 episodes and you have to play each episode as levels. These levels will be a lot like playing Roller Coaster Tycoon, you have to reach a certain amount of money,...

Nintendo DS allows you to run a hotel, you imagine it, the possibilities are infinite. Though there is a sort of storyline, there are three characters who refuse to leave your hotel until they're 100% happy

PSP
The reason why i put the PSP apart is because of a special reason. In this version, there is a story line like the DS and GBA, but you can also build and do stuff like in the other consoles.

In the PSP you control a character. The entire game has a fairly good story line, but the gameplay is just like the DS version, infinite. There are also a lot of building options in this game which make this a very interesting version of the sims 2

Mobile
Indeed, the sims 2 is even coming to your cellphone xD

On the mobile version, EA did not aim for the kind of thing they aimed for at all the other consoles: play for a long time. this version has a lot of short levels which improve your SimQ, a meter

Well, to give you a chance to compare all these consoles, i'll post 2 screenies per console :)

PC: 1 2
PS2, XBOX, NGC: 1 2
GBA: 1 2
DS: 1 2
PSP: 1 2
Mobile: 1 2

PSP looks the best (for a handheld) IMO

any opinions?
