The Sims (On Gamecube)

I have 'The Sims' on Gamecube, and I have a question.

I'm working on getting myself moved out of Mimi's house. All I have to do now is get promoted. When I do get promoted, do you have any suggestions as to who I should move in with?

And one more question- on the Gamecube version, can custom-made Sims marry and have children? I know that neighborhood Sims can, but can custom-made Sims? For example, the Sim I am currently using is female- if I got her to interact enough to a male sim, could they fall in love and marry each other? And if they did marry each other, would my female sim move into the male sim's house or vice versa?
