Anyone else play? I'm surprised nobody posted anything about this game. I've been playing this a lot, since Neopets doesn't interest me at all lately.

It came out of beta version not too long ago, though everything is still being released gradually like the Japanese and Korean version.

English website: http://www.tricksteronline.com/

Be aware that if you want to download the game, it takes quite a while even on broadband.

Signing up is free and spyware free too.

There's only one main "world" that you can make accounts on, but you can make as many as you want. (Three characters each)

There's four different types, Charm, Magic, Power and Sense, and a male and female type of each. (Though some look more female then male. :P *cough* Dragon)

Here's a wonderful guide on their website, so I don't have to explain the whole thing.

http://www.tricksteronline.com/StartupG ... Guide.aspx

I started up as a fox, named Faenwynn which I used to drill and make money. I made what most people call an insane build, so I suggest doing some research before you start out in the game. (mytrickster.net is a wonderful site for guides and various information) My second character is Tomba, a racoon. (A huge break from what I was working on before) My third character isn't used often, I'm using him as storage for now. He's a Dragon, but once I sell more of my stuff I can start using him again.

Just downloaded and signed up.

Started a lion and have no idea what I'm doing. xD

At least my stat build is pretty simple (all stats go into AC)

I suggest using Minty's All Comprehensive Guide to the Sheep Class.

Sheep are really complicated, but if you do it right they can be insanely powerful.

I wish you luck with the lion, it's frustrating until you hit lv 50 and get your second job.

After reading this thread I went and downloaded Trickster, 5 hours of downloading and an hour of installing later I can only get told that the connection has been disconnected ... any ideas?

I downloaded, installed, and everythinged it too. The characters were just too cute not to.
I'm just working on figuring out how to do everything; I finished the tutorial and will probably be fully playing it on Tuesday.

Were you able get past the start menu and enter the game? Also, did it have any error messages?

Compounding is when you talk to the guy (or girl with advanced compounding) and he'll take items and a small fee to make a totally new item with them.

You need the exact amount of items needed to make the compound listed, just click what you want to make in the drop down menu and it will come up. You can raise and lower the amount made, but you need to be sure you have enough to make it. Clicking auto fills in the items needed and then click go to start.

Depending on your DA or Detect Ability, the item has a chance to compound or fail. Also if you make a larger amount of an item, the rate of falure seems to go down and the time it takes to compound is faster.

Failing to compound makes compound waste that isn't really useful, other then using one to go to the 1 vs 1 pvp arena.

Compounding is really useful to make potions, it saves weight and a lot of money to make them yourself.

No, it gave me that message after I had entered my name and password. I managed to get past that stage once but the game chose to reeze on me. Nice.

You might just have a bad connection, but it might have issues with gameguard. I know some of my friends have problems connecting all the time, some don't. Try file check from the splash screen, it might fix your freezing problem.

If you guys ever need help, whether it be questions, a bodyguard or money, I'll help you out. Just whisper Tomba and if I'm there I'll get to you as soon as possible.

I'm a bunny [boxes] :D I had too much trouble deciding which one to be though. I'll probably make a different one too, only not now as I barely have the focus to play one character. Plus I have no idea what I'm doing. Anyway, it seems fun so far.
