Think I should make a guide to get through the game? I'm unsure of the maximum possible points. I think a few of the people with the highest scores may have cheated somehow because I can't see how they got 300 more points than me when the game has a finite endinging and I'm pretty sure I've only missed 60 or so points and ended up with 2690.

You could make a guide, but there are already guides available, like the one on PPT. It would probably be great if you DID make one, though.

Not much really to this game to make aa guide out of, its just a neopet endorsed lunar lander ehash, in which you carry things from place to place, fairly simple.

I wouldn't mind a guide including obstacles in the later levels, etc. I always stop playing once I can get 1000 neopoints, and wouldn't mind knowing where else that little ship travels to.

It doesn't get much harder you just go through tiny spaces, deal with force fields and such. It takes a long time.
I'm a little angry at the people at the top scores at the game. There's no way a person could get 11,000 or 5,000 unless the game has been changed to add more levels.
With that complaint aside, I wonder how much stuff is hidden in the walls like in in th first level you can blast away to get minerals n the upper left hand corner.

Actually I noticed that as I got close to that upper corner, the wall was sorta jittery as I moved near it... like the destructable/movable object that comprised that part of the wall wasn't getting updated at the same time as the rest...
Personally, I'd like to see someone make graphical maps of levels .. I might do this, but I can't get to some areas, like the tiny passage in the third or forth level of Mine Shaft...

Hmm, it seems they lowered the neopoints per point ratio. It's too bad, but it's still a good game for making neopoints, I'd say.

I don't know how people get over 2760. There must be hidden gems somewhere. Does anyone have an idea where?

I'm not that good with the game myself, but my roommate's fiance has been up that tiny passage (if we're thinking of the same one - I think it has a tiny vertical section, then a tiny horizontal section, then another tiny vertical section, then another tiny horizontal section). There was a small room with 2-3 gems at the top (I can't recall whether it was 2-3) and a fungus that shot directly down the last tiny horizonal section where it was pretty much impossible to evade. He gave it up as not being worth the effort.
Another hint he gave me in my efforts that I don't recall having seen yet: the ore always blows up when it hits something, but YOU only blow up when the ore hits something if you're still attached via the tractor beam. So if the ore is about to hit something and you can't stop it, disconnect. The ore will blow up and reappear at its original location and you can go back and get it.
I haven't tried this myself because I never think to go for the "n" key until it's too late. :-)

Bleh, havent a clue how to play that game!

I love the narrow horizontal then vertical then horizontal part! It's so easy
I do call it "the death trap" because the fungus can hit while you're going into the room with the gems and there's nothing you can do to save yourself from dieing.
If someone can tell me how to make a graphical layout of a level I'll do it. I've beaten every level so I can add tips on how to survive.

Yes, you can save youself in that situation, you have to quickly turn back and fly the opposite direction without hitting the floor horizontal walls. Of course, it's very hard and you need good skills and fast reflexes.
For making maps, I already tried before and it's quite hard. Well, for how I do mines anyway. I first made a
realistic map, but it was taking way too long to make. Then I tried to do
ASCII maps, but I lost interest after Level 2-1. I wanted next to draw the map on a paint program, but since I already have a gold trophy then, I stopped playing the game.
Oh and you says you have beaten the game? How many levels are there after Level 5-3? I was stuck there.
Tue Jun 15, 2004 2:33 am
I believe 5-3 is the last level in the game =P
I'm trying to get a gold medal but I can't because the top 4 positions are all taken by people that have unreasonably high scored.
