Hmm. I got the paintbrush yesterday, and today's is a plushie. I really don't want it, so I'm going to try to skip a quest today just to see what happens. It's 21.5k.

Maybe people complained about losing their progress towards something they wanted, so TNT decided to do away with prize resets. They should have told us, though!

And I wish they'd done this before I lost the second Sasha stamp.

Edit: I went ahead and collected all my prizes yesterday to get my 20k. I'd still like to reroll if possible. Any word if TNT has addressed this yet? I won't collect everything until later today, if we haven't heard anything either way yet. I may as well get the daily prizes and 20k while I wait, since now I need two days to reset anyway. Just would be nice to know if resetting was meant to go away.

I have not seen any update on rerolling yet, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

I am still of the thought that the sum of the weekly quests is "good enough" reward in and of itself. Typically, 30k to 50k NP and an occasional high value item is far better consistent daily income than anything else in history. I mean... Two Power Neggs in one day? C'mon... that's awesome. Especially at ~145k each if I were to sell them today. Or... the benefits of feeding them to my battle pet (+1 Str each).

I'm fine with your prize being your prize. I'd just like clarity if they've changed how it works for good, so I know whether to continue.

My daily totals for some days were worth more than this particular weekly prize. It's worth missing out on 20,001 NP to try for literally any other prize, but only if that's still going to work. If not, just confirm that you decided it's a bad idea to make people miss out on a good prize for missing a day (which also means people will have to take whatever prize they get from now on -- which, like you said, Blue, is more than generous).

That being said, I'm going to go ahead and groom my pet for that 1 NP prize and the 20k (and not being reset). Hopefully we'll find out tomorrow.

Edit: at this point I'm more than halfway to my prize, but have we had any clarity on this from TNT yet? Thanks!

It's been crickets from TNT still. I'm 2 days away from collecting now. Hopefully I'll roll something good for the next item?

I'm stuck with the Snow Faerie Token (TCG), which is currently the 4th cheapest prize you can win. Still crickets from TNT. You'd think by now they'd have at least addressed this, but...nope.

Hello Neopians! With the latest maintenance window, we made some changes to help prep for a future update and implemented some bug fixes to the Quest Log. Additionally, we fixed an exploit that was allowing users to reroll Weekly Rewards. Being able to reroll was not an intentional feature and was an exploit, so we fixed the bug that was allowing that during the maintenance window while we were applying other changes. We do, however, recognise that having a reroll feature is helpful, so we will keep this in mind for the future.

We have some exciting updates planned for the Quest Log coming soon so stay tuned!
100% cannot agree with this statement. This was not an exploit. They added a freakin' "skip quest" button. How in the world is rerolling an "exploit" if you purposefully put a skip quest button in there!? OMW.

Yeah, I cannot defend TNT on this in any way shape form or fashion. It took them almost 2 weeks to come back with this? Ugh. Just...nope. Bad move, TNT. Bad move.

At least we have clarification.

This reminds me of when they updated the WoK and charged every time you landed on "free spin." They tried to say it meant extra spin, and just getting to spin again was the reward, so it should cost. I actually went back and forth with the support staff, at one point pulling out the definition of "free" from several dictionaries.

Suffice it to say, TNT admitted their error and changed it back. But now that I'm thinking about it, maybe that's part of why they didn't give me my main back?

(I think I only sent 1-2 additional replies back and accepted their response politely even while challenging that it was a change. Still... The dictionary definitions could definitely be seen as a little snarky. But they started it first with how condescending they were in how they defined "free." Don't start a definition argument with a pedant when nerdiness is on the line!)

Hello again, Neopians! We want to acknowledge the feedback we've received regarding recent changes to the Quest Log, specifically the removal of the ability to re-roll Weekly Quest prizes. We hear you – while not implemented intentionally, this functionality resonated with many of you and became a part of your weekly routine in Neopia. We understand that this update may have felt abrupt.

We're actively working on bringing back a proper re-roll feature.
To be clear – this will not be locked behind a paywall.

Additionally, during our maintenance period, we removed the "Completed" tab from the Quest Log to reduce system strain, and we felt it necessary to also remove the "Skip Quest" button to improve clarity and prevent cases where players might accidentally skip a quest without a way to track it. We are aware that some players used this feature to aid in re-rolling weekly quests. However, the removal of the re-roll functionality was independent of the removal of the button itself.

We're committed to improving our communication surrounding future updates to ensure proper expectations can be set before changes go live. We hope to have more information to share next month regarding the Quest Log – we'll see you then!
Well. I'm actually very surprised they actually addressed this in the news today - but ... "feedback" ... the community was literally fire and brimstone and the concern about it being paywalled if/when it came back was real (either via premium, NC of some sort, or who knows what).

Understanding why the skip quest/completed tab was removed makes sense. Would've been nice if they were clear about this before.

At least we know that rerolling will be back at some point? Hopefully soon?
