 Post subject: frozen acct help

A friend told me to check these msg boards for help with a frozen neopet acct. I emailed TNT 10 days ago when someone was trying to hack my acct. Today I finally got an email telling me to give them info to prove it was my acct. About 30 min before I got the email, they froze my acct. It says for trying to scam other users out of accts, points, items etc.

Is that a generic message? Has anyone ever had their acct frozen after notifying TNT about a pw problem? If so, can you get your acct back? Or is that a msg saying I broke a rule about something? I've never tried to scam anyone!

Sorry for the long msg, hoping for help in getting my acct back. Any advice or help appreciated.

You didn't do anything wrong at all.

The hacker who got your account most likely used your account to hack or scam other peoples accounts in a way to protect their own accounts. They probabaly got caught scamming and were frozen.

You just need to convey the situation to Neopets and get a coffee or two, cause you probably have a little bit of a wait.

Thanks for the info Xil :) Luckily, whoever was trying to hack my acct 10 days ago, never got in. All my items and np's were still there and were there until tnt froze me out yesterday. I know they don't move quickly on emails, so do you think it's possible they automatically froze the acct when they finally got to my email from 10 days ago? The only other thing I can think of is that I had a krawk apple on the tp yesterday afternoon and I saw there is lots of problems with them changing from krawk plushies to apples etc. Could the wording of my trade cause them to freeze my acct? (hoping that's not the case!) Does anyone have a direct email to a sympathic ear at tnt that I can contact?

Thanks everyone, I hope I get it back too. I had over 2 mil np + rare items in the sdb - all held in "trust" for my 9 yr old son. I kept the np's on my acct because he was going crazy buying things when he saw he had so many np's. We lost about 5 mil total when they froze my acct yesterday. I'm trying to be patient, but I'm afraid they froze it because of that dumb krawk apple in the trading post. If TNT didn't like the wording of the post, would they have sent a warning and cancelled my trade or just plain froze the account, no questions asked?

I just think that they froze it because of the sudden neopoints being spent.

what do you think the chances are of getting the acct unfrozen if it wasn't hacked and we didn't do any wrong doing in the wording of the krawk apple trade? Good? Poor?

And I'm guessing it's going to take at least 2 wks before I hear from TNT... they don't seem to react very quickly. If they froze it due to email I sent on 6/10 and they waited until 6/21 to freeze it... their turn around time isn't the best.

It's almost impossible to get your account unfrozen unless u have neopets connections.
