It appears that there are different rewards for different quests....and that everyone's rewards are random. The prize for the weekly quest completion is also random. Some people are reporting theirs to be some pretty serious stamps.
I will update this post as there is more information. At the moment...there's a lot of Red Pteri notices popping up, with Neo down. ----------------------------- First and foremost: THESE CANNOT BE DONE ON SIDE ACCOUNTS
Daily Quests:
You MUST visit Quest Log before any of your quests will become active. This may change at a later time, but at present, visiting the page is necessary before activating any quests.
Each day, you have 5 quests to complete. They will be one of the following: *Customize a Pet - Make at least one change to the customization of a pet and save *Feed a Pet - Pretty straight forward: feed your pet a any type of food item from your inventory *Groom a Pet - Use any grooming item on a pet. *Play a Game - Play any game that requires you to send score at the end (flash or HTML5) *Purchase Item(s) - Buy 1 to 3 items (as indicated by how many in the quest) from main Neopian shops (that require a haggle) or from the Healing Springs. Other user shops, the General Store, Neohomes Superstore, Little Nippers, Igloo Garage Sale, Tarla's Shop of Mystery, Second-Hand Shoppe, and Hidden Tower do NOT work for this. *Spin a Wheel - Spin whichever wheel you are asked to spin: Wheel of Mediocrity (40 minutes), Wheel of Excitement (2 hours), Wheel of Misfortune (2 hours - with more negative consequences!), Wheel of Knowledge (1/day)
Once you complete each quest, you can collect your prize, turning a book green with a gold check. Once you collect all 5 prizes for the day (and turn all the books green with gold checks), you can collect the daily prize (20k). There is a current possible quest prize pool on JN's page here.
Once you collect your daily prize, the weekly prize toggle will show another book turned green with a gold check. You may need to refresh the page for this to update.
There is a skip quest option. This will skip the quest...but also prevent you from collecting your daily completion reward. If you fail to collect a daily completion reward, your weekly quest will reset.
Recommendations/Tips: 1) Keep at least one pet out of the Neolodge to be able to feed when necessary. Alternatively, Bloat B Gone can be used for a chance at increasing hunger, but this item has skyrocketed in price (and will likely be used for people trying to Snegg their pet's battledome stats or feed gourmet foods faster, as those are the people who will be able to afford this item). 2) Make sure to go to your quest page FIRST THING before doing any dailies. This will hopefully prevent any issues with quests not completeing. 3) If you don't like your weekly quest item, failing to complete and collect something on day 1 might be a feasible option to reset to something you DO like. Just check your daily prizes to make sure you collect the ones of those that are worthwhile. 4) Using bookmarks or quick links to the wheels may not work. When in doubt, go through explore to the world they're in and click on the wheel from the map.
Tutorial Quests: There are 6 parts to the Tutorial Quests. These are not timed, so do not worry about hurrying through them. Each part has several tasks to complete, after which you get a prize.
Part 1: *Create a Neopet - If you already have a pet, this should be checked. If not, go through the create-a-pet process and make a new one! *Activate Your Account: For most everyone, this should already be checked, as you really can't do much playing without activating your account. If you somehow have not managed to activate your account yet, do so here. (And then PM me and explain how you've been playing for a while without having done so. I'm curious.) *Add 3 Neofriends - Add any neofriend. This can be someone you're already neofriends with - just do this three times and it should work. Sending the request is all that is required; the request does not need to be accepted. You can send a request from their userlookup, or from the Neofriends requests page. **This currently shows up for accounts under the age of 13, but cannot be completed, as they cannot have neofriends.** *Send a Neomail - Pretty straight forward. Send a neomail. **This quest does not currently show up for accounts under the age of 13, as they are not allowed to send neomails.** *Explore Pages in Settings - Go to the Settings page and view each different option. No longer part of the quest.
Prizes:
Wooden Blocking Shield Blue Ixi Plushie Mystery Of The Kougra Paw Mashed Potato With Gravy Ultra Fashionable Potato Sack Random 2 of: Starter Blue Paint, Starter Green Paint Brush, Starter Red Paint Brush, Starter Yellow Paint Brush Random 2 of: Weeble, Liobits, Frogler, Ditsy
This is the old newbie pack that was given out for completing the flash tutorial. Newer (I use this lightly) accounts have probably already received these prizes. The Petpets and Start Paint Brushes listed here are No Trade items.
Part 2: *Feed a Pet - Pretty straight forward: feed your pet a any type of food item from your inventory *Assign a Petpet to your Neopet: Give a petpet to one of your neopets. If all of your neopets already have petpets and you don't want to unequip them and lose their age, consider adopting a pet from the pound and giving it one. If you don't have enough pet slots for that, transfer a pet to a side account temporarily to take care of this. *Groom a Pet - Use any grooming item on a pet. *Play with your Pet - Play with any toy item with your pet. *Dress up your Neopet: Make at least one change to the customization of a pet and save
Prize:
25k
Part 3: *Heart a page to Bookmark it! - Look in the top left corner on any of the converted pages, find the heart, and click it. *Explore 5 Lands - Visit any 5 different lands linked on the explore page. *Spin a Wheel - Spin any of the following wheels: Wheel of Mediocrity (40 minutes), Wheel of Excitement (2 hours), Wheel of Misfortune (2 hours - with more negative consequences!), Wheel of Knowledge (1/day) *Check out Guilds in the Community - Take a quick trip over to the Guilds Hub. Joining a guild is not necessary. *Send your Petpet on an adventure! - Grave Danger, anyone? Send a pet out to seek treasure... *Get a scratchcard and try your luck!: Scratch a Terror Mountain Scratchcard or Deserted Fairgrounds Scratchcard. Lost Desert Scratchcards aren't possible to scratch without Flash at this time.
Prize:
50k
Part 4: *Paint your Neopet at the Rainbow Pool - Use a working paint brush at the Rainbow Pool to paint one of your pets. (This includes the starter paint brushes you received from Part 1.) This is not to be confused with using a Rainbow Fountain Dip!! Note: if you adopted a pet from the pound to give it a petpet, consider painting it with one of the cheaper colors (Speckled, Cloud, Christmas, etc) before returning it to the pound. *Send your Neopet to a Training School - Get one of your pets started on training at either the Swashbuckling Academy or Mystery Island Training School. Unfortunately, the Secret Ninja School doesn't count for this one.You do not need to complete the course for this to check off (but you might want to go back and do so eventually, anyways). Free pet day training at the Academy may or may not count for this - this has not been tested yet. Update: Secret Ninja Training School is now working for this! *Refer One Friend: Go to the Referrals page, enter any valid email address and submit it. The referral does not need to be accepted. *Battle in the Battledome - Complete any 1-player battle in the battledome *Submit 5 Game Scores from Games Room - Send scores on any game that requires you to send score at the end (flash or HTML5). These can be from the same game (max 3 sends a day) or from different games. Note: The TCG task, requiring you to add 3 cards to your TCG album, has been removed. Pity.
Prize:
A random NC item from a small item pool. The current item pool includes these pretties (several of which are highly sought-after in the NC trading community): Amongst the Clouds Background, Cherry Blossom Bridge Background, Fabled Silvery Lake Background, Gold Mine Background, Pink Mountain and Cloud Background, Cherry Blossom Garland, Cyodrake Temple Garden, Golden Scattered Light Garland, Jewelled Silver Wings, Long Charming Grey Wig, Lovely Layered Lilac Dress, or Rich Golden Eye Makeup
Part 5: *Purchase an item from another user's Shop - Use the shop wizard to go to another user's shop and buy an item. Shiny Obsidians are back down to 1NP, if you need one... *Purchase a Stock - Purchase at least one share of stock *Put a Stamp in your Stamp Album - Put an album item in your album. This must be a new one - stamps already in your album do not count. If you're up to the ones in the millions....either wait until Advent Calendar (when there tend to be new stamps released), get lucky restocking, get lucky with your weekly items, or...who knows what. Just...good luck on this one. *Obtain a Secret Avatar - Get any avatar you don't currently have. If there are no "easy" ones available, you can always lose and regain the Emo-Usuki one. *Set up a Shop - If you already have a shop, this will automatically check. Otherwise, set one up! *Enter an Art & Design or Writing Contest - Enter any of the contests under "Art and Design" on the page linked. Customization Spotlight is extraordinarily easy to enter - just pick a pet you've customized and click the enter button.
Prize:
A random NC item from a small item pool. The current item pool includes these pretties (several of which are highly sought-after in the NC trading community): Amongst the Clouds Background, Cherry Blossom Bridge Background, Fabled Silvery Lake Background, Gold Mine Background, Pink Mountain and Cloud Background, Cherry Blossom Garland, Cyodrake Temple Garden, Golden Scattered Light Garland, Jewelled Silver Wings, Long Charming Grey Wig, Lovely Layered Lilac Dress, or Rich Golden Eye Makeup This is the same pool as for Part 4, and it does appear possible to get the same random item twice.
Part 6: *Use the Trading Post to trade an item - Set up a trade on the trading post. You don't need to actually complete a trade. *Complete a Quest from the Brain Tree - Complete a Brain Tree quest. Tips: You will need to complete 2 Esophagor quests to get the answers to when and where. Start an Esophagor quest first to make sure you don't have super expensive items requested from him first! These are all timed, so...good luck. *Help Edna find missing ingredients for her spells! - Visit Edna and complete one of her quests. Remember: you have a limit of a total of 10 quests a day between Edna, Kitchen, and Taelia Quests! *Complete a treasure map! - Yep. Ouch. Spooky and Original Treasure Map have both been confirmed to work, though in theory, any should work(including Forgotten Shore, if you somehow haven't done it yet). Prices are up right now, especially for Spooky pieces, as a lot of them were donated during the recent event since they were R102+'s. Might want to wait for a bit on this one if you don't already have pieces. Update: If you have completed Lab Ray, Petpet Lab Ray, or Forgotten Shore, visit their page off of the Maps Page and it will check this box for you! *Try your luck on the Alien Aisha Vending Machine! - Use a Nerkmid at the Vending Machine *Have 1 million NP in your Bank Account - if you already have 1 mil in your bank, it will automatically check. Otherwise...you need to get there. Prize:
Shenanigifts Retired Mystery Capsule 2023
Once you finish part 6, you're done with the Tutorial tab. Whew! (It says "You have no new quests to display.")
There is also an Events tab, which is currently empty. Maybe we'll see things pop up here in the future? May to go along with the Altador Cup? Or who knows what else?
The Completed tab is just that - it shows you every quest you have completed in the past, in the order you completed them (oldest at the bottom), and what your prize was, etc.
BlueEdit: For full disclosure, I did the split, but Pickles gets the OP so she can change it if needed.

Wow, Blue. You just keep hitting them! I am happy with my new prize, as it was definitely on my make sure to get list. No re-rolling this week! And as an added bonus, one of my quests gave me a negg.
I might have to outright buy the album items at some point, but I'm not there yet.

Just got the goodie bag yesterday. Today's weekly prize is qBlue Wocky Gummy Straw. It's worth 1250 NP. All but one of my daily prizes are worth more than that, so I'm planning to not collect the muddy hat daily prize so I can get a better weekly prize. Unless I forget and accidentally collect it....

So, while I was dealing with my oldest being at the ER from having to use an epipen last night (I wish this was a joke but it's not), TNT announced this:
Quote:
Heads up Neopians! The prize pools for the Quest Log are about to get an update. So be sure to complete your quests and keep an eye out for some fresh prizes on 6/3!
I had gotten 0 of the 5 album items I wanted for my album. Sigh. Prices on everything went nuts last night. I attempted to try and catch some of the auctions but no such luck. One of my kiddos made me a hard sell on the coconut this morning, but I still need the Battle Slices Stamp, Lord Kass Stamp, The Three Stamp and Wherfy Collectable Charm. Of course, I had planned on going through and buying the ones I wanted this weekend once I had free time, and had already priced things out, but...yeah. Missed on that.
Assuming that everyone read it right, and that all of the current pool prizes will disappear on the 3rd (despite there really having been only 2 weeks so far of them being the only items in the pool as the previous pool items were still in for a while and then there was the random error bug where people couldn't get different things for a chunk of that time, too...), this will have been a VERY short time frame for a pool to be active.
For anyone rerolling, the last "safe" day to start a streak to collect what you're aiming for would be Monday, then 27th, giving you a collection date of June 2nd. It would be risking it to try for anything later than that, in case they do completely switch out the pools on the 3rd. In light of all this information, if you don't like your current streak prize and want to reroll, if you skip today and tomorrow, that will give you Sunday and Monday to try for something new.
I am hoping TNT will clarify what they mean by fresh prizes, as this feels so abrupt after having had 7 months+ with the last item pool. Also, if the pools will only be a month long in the future, I hope that there are no randomizer issues, or hangover old pools to be an issue.
ETA: It was confirmed that everything BUT the codestones will be cycled out. Sigh. So much for the rest of those items from this pool that I was interested in. Maybe they'll come back some day? I certainly will be refreshing until I get something I REALLY want next cycle. I expect that any high-tier items will not drop as far in price in the future, as everyone will expect that it'll be monthly rotations from now on.
ETA2: OMW the prices on some of the items were ridiculous last night but now they're stupidly ridiculous. Oh, well. Maybe when they come back into rotation. I'm not paying 25 mil for something that this time yesterday was 2 mil or less.
ETA3: Wow. The boards, discord, etc, are going bonkers. No one is happy about the abrupt change. Bleh. It will be interestaing to see how the monthly AMA goes this upcoming Wednesday...
ETA4: Someone accepted my (reasonable) offer on the Wherfy Collectable Charm (which hasn't gone through the roof inflation wise since it was only a R93 and the resellers aren't snatching them up as crazily), so that is now happily in my album. 2 of the 5 isn't terrible. Maybe they'll come back into rotation some day. If not...well, then I'm where I was before all these quest log things started, right?

That seems to be a quick change, indeed. Are these just the "daily" prize pool, the "big prize" pool, or both?
For what its worth, 99% of my achieved items are rotting my SDB... Maybe I'll compile the best of them into a lot on the TP to ask for/trade for the one mug I do not yet have. I believe it actually does exist because I saw it once on the TP around 5 years ago... The seller wanted a lot more than what I had in my bank at that time. Ah well, just pixels, right?

Both.
So many words about how this was handled...but...not much that can be done at this point. Congrats to everyone who got something awesome this month! Maybe next month will be better...maybe they'll release Thundersticks as part of the pool...
Sorry if I'm grumpy about this. I feel like it was handled poorly, but I'm also super tired from last night and I'm sure that made me grumpier today. Life moves on.

Pickles, you're in luck. My new prize is The Three Stamp. Also, it reset after skipping a single day, which might give you more chances for a great prize.

Quest Log Prize Pool Update Hey Neopians! Taking into account recent feedback, we have made updates to the Quest Log Prize Pool plans. Rotations will be postponed until July 1st. On that day, everything will be swapped out except the codestones. Moving forward, we are planning to rotate prize pools every 2 months! In addition, please keep in mind that past items do have a chance to show up in future pools. Thank you
Wow. I honestly didn't think they'd bend on this. Stinks for the people that fought the botter/resellers and paid stupidly high prices for these items in the last couple of days. (But NGL, laughing at the botters/resellers that DID pay those stupidly high prices).
All that being said, 2 months is definitely better than 1 glitched month. It gives enough time for you to try and reroll for something you want (though with 65 items in a pool you still may not), but not so long that the pool gets stagnant. I might've suggested 3, but this will give us 6 pools a year. It will be interesting to see if they replace the neggs with other neggs. Because that's up in the air, I'm holding on to all the neggs I'm getting (the few I have from dailies so far), because prices will go up if they don't include any next round.
Siniri, you've really been lucking out with stamps! Let me know if there's anything specific you're interested in for trades for them.
I'm hoping we'll all have luck getting what we want over the next 4 weeks. I mean, my list is definitely longer than 4 items, but some are less of a priority than others.

Thanks Pickles! You are awesome for being on top of these things!
This seems like great news?
ETA: Today was another extra quests day. This time I paid a little more attention, (since I wasn't in an airport).
10 quest items, as follows: Wheel of Misfortune x2 Groom a Pet x2 Play a Game x2 Feed a Pet x1 Customize a Pet x1 Buy an item from a Shop (1 item) Buy an item from a Shop (3 items)
Each had different rewards, with only 1 item duplicated, but for different quest tasks.
Upon claiming the reward for 5 quests I could claim the 20k. After claiming the 20k and refreshing, the weekly could be claimed. I then went ahead and claimed the remaining rewards.

I believe the extension is probably a good thing, as well as knowing the 2-month frame for going forward. We're still dealing with a glitched 1st month of it this rotation, plus old prizes still in the pool for a chunk of time, but hopefully that will not be the case going forward.
Blue, it's like double the prizes for nothing! I've heard reports of people getting 3 sets of quests, too. Eesh.
I successfully collected my prize from the last week of rolls. Hoping for a good roll tomorrow (maybe a stamp I don't have?)...we'll see, I guess? Watch me get the coconut.

Yes, the bonus quests have been good. I did manage to get the 2nd fish negg plushie
This week is a Magical Potato Chia Pop. Not sure it's worth getting, but resetting throws off my schedule. Seems like a relatively non-popular item. Feels like only one of two people will want to buy it - Owner of a Chia Pop gallery, or someone that has a Chia that they desperately want to be a Potato.
Of note - today's quests were all "Cash prizes" - no items. The haul today was 44,489k including the 20k and the cost to buy an item. (i.e. I started with 100k on hand and ended with 144,489).
That might actually be a larger proportion of people than you night think, Blue. Potatoes have become a bit of a meme, between people offering them for Halloween as a choice instead of candy (and being surprised by the number of kids who chose the potato) and it being slang for an outdated computer. Plus a semi-political reference that I won't get into.
How can I get some bonus quests? That sounds much better than my Trudy glitches.

Blue, the potato chia pop was also given out during the Neopies, which is probably why it's going for less at the moment. There is, however, a third category of people who would want it - it's a gourmet food item.
Uuuuugh. I have a Wraith P/B as my weekly now. This is a decent prize, but it's on my "Take it or leave it" section of my list. Decisions, decisions...
