Shark Tale

Am I the only person who didn't really like this movie much?
Sure it had great famous people playing the voices.
But it was pretty boring.
My rating is 2/5.

No, you're not alone. I'm with you 100%. It was dull, cliched, unfunny, and woefully inferior to "The Incredibles" and "Shrek 2."

I saw previews for it, and I hated it. I mean, just looking at this movie made me think it didn't have any plot. My sister went and saw it with her husband and she hated it. She said it was a tad funny but no where close to Disney/Pixar movies.

**nods with Ammer** I've seen too many previews for it, and I still have no idea what on earth it's supposed to be about. Not that I really care to know... but still, that's not a good sign.

My Five Stars Mean:
Good actors/actresses
Good Graphics
Good Plot
Humour
Such a great movie that I'd tell a friend about it.

And Shark Tale only got the first two.

I have a phobia of whales so I only watched the whale free bits.
The bits I saw weren't very good though 3/10

umm... it's 'a bugs life' with an s :P and i think antz came before a bugs life :)

i kinda found this movie bad as well... i LOVED shrek but here they're just thinking: "shrek was good, how about we turn shrek into a fish and make a movie from it with celeb stars!" in the entire movie, i did found it funny on some moments... but i never was able to laugh at it... it was just so childish and stupid, i just couldn't and so i just frowned at the screen...

its story is not the same as finding nemo... at all... but some parts were identical: a vegetarian shark, fishes scared of sharks, the location where the fishes live... that's all i can think of...

oh well if it comes to underwater animation movies, give me spongebob!

I didn't see it, only the commercials. A couple of my friends from school said it was awful. They told me all about it, and it doesn't even sound remotley interesting. *sigh* I'm sick of fish movies!

Well...I guess I won't be suggesting that one for family entertainment. :P

You're right. "Antz" was released 1998-10-02 whereas "A Bugs Life" was released 1998-11-20. [i]However, "A Bugs Life" came a month after "Antz" was in store whereas "Shark Tale" came a year or so after "Finding Nemo". There was a pretty large gap in between both underwater movies.

But I agree, it's a tad odd that Dreamworks seems to have the same ideas as Walt Disney. Their next movie is an all star cast and it's called "Madagascar". At least Disney's next and last pixar movie is called "Cars".

The only way those two can be related if the animals in "Madagascar" suddenly drove cars which talked.

they're gonna make a sequel according to http://www.movies.com

oh well... *thinks that within a year or 2 all 3D animation movies are going to be unpopular starting with Shark Tale 2 and Toy Story 3*

They're making "Shark Tale 2" because of the success of the first movie. Even though mostly everyone hated it.
