Mulan II -- Tarzan II -- Lilo & Stitch 2

Sun Mar 06, 2005 6:34 pm

I watched the movie "Mulan 2" yesterday and to tell you the truth, I liked it. It wasn't as good as the first movie, but it was a good sequel by itself. The actor who did Mushu did sound like Eddie Murphy a lot (If that was Eddie Murphy, I'm stupid) and the plot line itself was good.

But what did I come to find after the movie? Previews. Previews for other Disney sequels. That's right, get ready for Tarzan II and Lilo & Stitch 2. Want a way for Disney to ruin more original movies? I think those two are the answers.

Apparently in Tarzan II, it's when Tarzan is young. He's not a baby but he's not an adult. The kid stage. Looks like another boring attempt at a sequel.

Next we have Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch with a Glitch. Apparently, Stitch starts to malfunction and begins to act hostile. Looks like another sad attempt at a sequel.

What's next, Alice in Wonderland 2? Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 2?

Haven't they done your hypothetical sequels already?

I bet Lilo and Stich 2 will completely ignore the TV series.

Nope. Apparently they're leaving Snow White as it is because Walt Disney said not to make a sequel to it. But if they did it to Cinderella, I can see them doing it to Snow White.

I hate it when Disney do their sequels. *shakes head* It's just a waste really.

Lady & the Tramp II, The Little Mermaid II, The Lion King II, Pocahontas II, Cinderella II, The Hunchback of Notre Dame II and I'm sure there's a whole load more sequels which I have forgotten about. Like everyone else has. Why do Disney waste their time doing these, surely they don't make that much money off doing these sequels? :/

They do it because they have run out of ideas. Their latest animated movie "Home on the Range" can not even compare to "The Lion King" or "Mulan".

I guess you're right. It's a shame really. They should learn when to stop. :( They don't have Pixar to help them at the moment either do they? Oh dear.

There is a Tarzan 2 and Lilo and Stitch 2, this is the third for both then. The only good sequels from Disney I think are the Aladdin and Lion King ones and Toy Story 2. I wish they made Finding Nemo to where they find out the mom is still alive or they find a egg that is about to hatch and it is nemo's brother.

Don't encourage them! They probably will do that knowing them. I don't think that's a good idea at all, they should just leave that film alone now, and not milk any more money out of it.

Nope. "Tarzan and Jane" was just an opening DVD to the series of Tarzan. "Stitch! The Movie" was an opening DVD to the series of Lilo and Stitch.

Ya know... Disney movies always go in ups and downs.
*blinks*
Theres been long periods of meh quality movies before. Look at how many classics there really are, and then look at all the years that disney has been around.
Theres always been junk things in between. Attempts to do something.
Black Cauldron anyone? For a disney movie it was awful. Not disney like at all, it looked more like one of the cheesy LOTR cartoons then a disney.

*shrugs*

Let's not forget Bambi II! Well Bambi II does look kind of cute, but when will Disney finally come up with something original? Disney has finally lost it and is trying to scrape up what they can by recycling old movies. Do they really think they're fooling anybody? Eisner and his people must go before they destroy the dreams of children everywhere!

Ya know...
I have a nephew, (well four... but I only know two of them), and they're both little kids.
The older (the younger doesn't count since he's like 3 months old)... LOVES the new disney movies.
Thinks they're great.
He'll sit down and he'll just watch them again and again and again.
Doesn't that say something about the movies?
Maybe they aren't meant for people our age, yes the animation isn't as good, but they're cute, not bloody, not gorey, not horrible... CUTE movies. With a good theme.

And I personally think that should count for something.

Maybe an Increbiles would be a good flick. Cars looks stupid. Pixar is coming up with the ideas. Disney needs to make a classic again. Sure the Pixar movies are but nothing does it like a good old cartoon. Brother Bear was awful.
