I heard from a couple people that the movie wasn't good. I don't think I'll see it, if anything I'd rent it. But I didn't really like Ice Age, and this is from the makers of it...hmmm...*shrug*

Its has a beautiful artwork and outstanding animation, but I hate the fact that the whole appeal to see the movie is that everyones voiced by a star. And does every non-Pixar CGI movie has to have pop-culture humour its getting kinda of tired now.

Robin Williams is in it what do you expect?

That's very true. That's one of the main reason I don't go see any recent CGI movies. (There seem to be tons of them now.) A movie with many pop culture references isn't going to be a classic, because it's only funny during that era.

So, Robots had a lot of pop culture? Hmm...I remember something to do with Britney Spears in the trailers.

o.o; What are you guys talking about.
I thought this movie was done EXCELLENTLY.

There's a lot of jokes / puns / etc. hidden around in the movie that's subtle and can create a lot of laughter. (And if its any point to you guys... i'm 18 in a few days).

It's a great movie. Really great that I've actually thought about seeing it twice! (Which I've never thought of ANY movie before)

I definitely say to go watch it. :P

That reminds me of this Napoleon Dynamite vs. Fender thing I found. Vote for who dances better. I cracked up so hard when I watched Fender's moves :roflol: If we're going to go to the movies any time soon, I might see Robots. Its either that or Constantine.

I'll rent it. I think it looks cute and I loved Ice Age! Made me cry when the mammoth saw the cave paintings and started remembering what happened and stuff...

But yeah.. like I said.. I'll rent Robots.. I'll never see a kids movie in theaters... drives me completely crazy when people talk in the theaters and we all know how small children can be

Tue Mar 15, 2005 8:26 am

Yea, I'm not going to see it in the cinema (ha, Igg!). The last kids film I did that for was Finding Nemo, and I was ready to strangle a couple kids by the end (and this was quite a while after it was out, too). However, I probably will see it. Eventually.

I loved Ice Age, but I didn't really enjoy watching Robots. There were a few 'heh.' moments, and the soundtrack was fairly good, but the plot was a bit too Cinderella-with-robots for me to love it.

Not to mention, the kind-of-romance between Halle Berry's character (said character's name escapes me at the moment) and, uh, the main character (I can't remember his name, either. Gah, my brain's melted.) was a bit too rushed, in my opinion. Boom, we meet HB's character. Boom, she suddenly becomes a main character and turns into Super Robotwoman, then quickly becomes fast friends with all the other main characters. That kind of character isn't one I really like, to say the least. Far too bad-fanfiction-/-Mary-Sue-y for me.

Though I was in a bad mood the day I saw it, so maybe that's why I didn't really like it. My sister's begging to see it again anyway, so I might as well.

I saw it and didn't like it. Robin Williams was good, but one person's voice can't hold up a movie. There really wasn't any story. It seemed like they tried to fit too much action and unfunny physical humour into a short time period. By doing that they ignored the story.
