Fire Me Please!

Wed Jun 15, 2005 2:17 am

Yes, another reality show to hit the airwaves, and I must say, I find it quite amusing. It's basically two people are hired at different locations and they must find a way to get fired before 3:00pm. The one that comes the closest wins $25,000.

It does sound stupid but I watched it and I found the show pretty funny. The website.

It comes on every Tuesday at 9PM EST on CBS.

I tried to watch this show last week, but I found the laugh track too insulting. I think I can tell for myself when something is funny. I couldn't stand it. I switched to a re-run of House.

The premise and the show itself are okay, they just need to tone down the laugh track, in my opinion.

Hehehe. i love the show.
Yes, I'll agree the laugh track is over done, but I definitely have my own LOL moments when it deserves it. =D

If only the age req wasn't 21+... i'd get my friend to try out ;)

Wow!

Yet another reality TV show to steal the premise from a show in England!

Although the English show wasn't very popular, I did watch it a couple of times. It seems to be incredibly hard to get fired in England, which is probably why it was a bit crap.

Yeah the English one was crap. I watched 2 and never did again...

A big problem, apart from the fact nobody could get fired, was that they mucked up the scheduling of it.

I watch it and think it's hilarious.
I also don't like the canned laughter, but eh.. I can ignore it.
I think it's hilarious when the people start acting a bit on the insane side and the coworkers are too scared to say anything to them
And I can't believe some of them don't get smacked or something.. like that guy last night when he kept insulting those young guys about being 'rednecks' etc :P

Oh heh, that show makes me laugh...although like the others, I don't like the canned laughter.

It's funny, what people would do for $25000. I'm also curious as to how they got hidden cameras into a store. O_o

I must be too young to remember this show... either that or once again I missed a cool series on TV again ^^

The owner knew about the show so they probably set it up within the store.

Fortunately in New Zealand you need like a days notice whatever the reason. And I think that idea is teh crap.

They kept changing the times and they showed about 2 episodes. I spend a lot of time watching crap on telly.

sorry if i sound like a meany out to make fun of reality tv shows... but... i am! I enjoy survivor and amazing race, but these sad attempts just make me cry. honestly, im out of tissues.
Who can get fired the fastest? Cant you just go up to the manager and say "hey @*#@ @#$@#ing @#$#@$ head...... please fire me,.... ill give you 2000 dollars to fire me........ or, just dont work... sit there all day... singing "ohhh i wish somebody would fire me..."... sounds easy.

Mon Jun 20, 2005 5:55 pm

No, a rule is you can't ask to get fired.

Tue Jun 21, 2005 5:03 am

And it's not who can get fired the fastest... it's who can get fired closest to 3pm without going over.
I wouldn't really call it a reality tv show though, it's just a hidden camera show.
