The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Has anyone watched it? I have borrowed it from my sister and I was wondering, you don't need to watch Be Shorty to understand the sequel right?
And, is it good?

Oh, I watched most of the movie. I borrowed it from a friend and it was messed up in the end. D: So I'm left hanging. -_-
Anywho, I think it's alright so far. Goofy/funny... Watch it just to watch something...especially if you're bored. ^^;
And about Be Shorty? Gosh, didn't even know it was a sequel. xD; I think the movie mentions like background/past details, but you can still understand the movie. I did. =D

Ah, thank you very much. I shall watch it tomorrow after my last exam.
Hoorah.

Oh, I'm glad you don't have to see the first one, because I want to see Be Cool, but due to a limited source of pocket money, I can't afford to rent the first one.
I really only want to see it because Uma Thurman is in it. Heh heh.
But it does look interesting.

Be Cool was horrible. The Casting saved it from being a wash out. Get Shorty is good but the acting is really bad in Be Cool and is very predictable. BIG ENDING Spoiler: girl does become famous - duh.

I thought Be Cool was.... just ok.
It would've been better if it didn't seem like one big stupid corny cheesy "girl wants to be famous to get outta trouble" bullflop.
UGH I hate chick flicks like that...
To me the movie just had too much of a "Hey! Look at this girl.. LOOK AT HER and go out and buy her CD(s).. NOW!" promotional crap feel to it.
I thought the Rock was funny in it though... just SO wrong seeing him smack his butt in tight leisure suit style baby blue pants

Unecessary Sequal Syndrome.

It's ironic really, John Travolta's character was saying in the movie how much he hated unecessary sequels.
The movie itself was alright, I agree they promoted Christina Milian a lot in the movie. She has died down lately though. Oh and the Rock was hilarious. But the scene with him slapping his butt was very disturbing.
All in all, I give the movie a 3.5/5 stars.
