I could almost cry for joy....
The first seasons of both Fraggle Rock and The Muppet Show (my personal favorite of the two) are coming out on DVD.
The Muppet show will be released on August ninth and Fraggle Rock on September sixth of this year.
Just... wow.
I'm so... happy about this. These were childhood favorites of mine (which in itself is so rare) and just... Kermit... and Miss Piggy... and the old men... *sniffle* and and... Fozzie bear... and ANIMAL! EEEE!
ANIMAL!
On Dvd! the whole... first seasons!
Squee! *fangirlish happyness!*

You don't know how happy this makes me. I am always telling my niece about the muppet show and how great it was. I grew up on fraggle rock! Now, I'm not one for buying television shows on dvd much, but these I will definently look for. [bounces around]

Horrah, it gets a bit irritating just having the one taped episode from the 80s or something on video.

Now I can have the Mark Hamill and Elton John guest appearances in digital media form >D

Awsome!!!! My sister loves Fraggle Rock ever since she was a wee lass. She's 24 and I hope to get the DVD for her birthday, once it comes out.

*shudder* I never liked Fraggle Rock.
But on the other hand, I loved the Muppets. I'm thinking about just getting a couple of the "best of" dvds that have been out for awhile, though. I think the entire thing would be a bit too much of a good thing for me. I just need my Mark Hamill, Julie Andrews, and John Denver episodes. ^_^v Those are my favorites. Mainly because they're the ones that I saw at an older age, so I actually can remember them. All the other ones I saw as a child and either can't remember or didn't find them as funny the second time around. Plus Mark Hamill is dreamy.

Awww, yes! I was just thinking about Fraggle Rock the other day too. I have a Muppet Show VHS, but I want the DVDs. August 9th and September 6th, hopefully I'll have enough money to spare and buy them both.
Hehe, I had some Fraggle Rock toys as a kid. Red was driving a turnip car or something like that. ^__^

I LOVED the Muppet Show!
After I got of my trauma of seeing Kermit bite Vincent Price in the neck with those vampire teeth when I was a toddler that is...now I think it's a classic moment.
The episode that knocked me out of that fear was the Elton John one. I saw the Star Wars one ONCE, missed the ending and never saw it again. >_<

That's kinda cool, but what's Fraggle Rock? I don't think I've ever seen it.

I remember this one episode where Kermit lost that bit of scarf thing around his neck and then he was hiding because he thought he was naked and I was like..wait..isn't he always naked? And who cares if a frog is naked?
