The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Did any of you guys get to see it?
We recorded the second one which was on a sky channel... so I'll finally get to see it tonight.
What did you think of the show?
I thought it was great, kept me entertained and their sets looked fantastic. Hopefully the glove will make a reappearance, cos I thought that was cool.
Do you think Doctor Who will make an appearance at some point?

Well, I know Captain Jack is going to be in the season 3 finale of DW so who knows!
It was more than I expected, lol. It was quite good, but the special effects were a bit rubbish (like when the alien bit that guy in the neck in the first one). And the whole Welshness of it!

Lol, I like the fact that it's set in Wales. The special effects will hopefully get better once they get a bit more funding. If the public thinks it's good, then they'll invest more money into it.

Apparently it got 2.9m viewers, which is the highest viewing figure for a TV program on a non-terrestrial TV channel in the UK. So you KNOW it must be good. AND it's on again tonight on BBC 2 at 9pm.
Yea, it does rock, although the alien in the second episode is not really suitable for young children. Buit what else would you expect from Dr Who For Adults?
Oh, and I loved the fact that you really thought that Suzie was going to be a main character until they twisted it, a bit like Tara in Buffy.

T'was good, many nods to Doctor Who ofcourse (The chameleon lift, the hand, the "Battle for cannary wharf" and the refference to Rose reviving the old fella for example.)
Kinda hoping the story goes somwhere, as at the minute it's all just breaking washername into the team.

I hate you guys
It won't air here in the States for a while yet

It's like all the US shows that take forever to get to the UK, don't worry. *pats* You'll get through it with shows like Lost and Supernatural. Once Torchwood gets there, you'll love it.
Yeah Ixi, I agree about the more mature content, although I've still only seen the first ep... never got the chance to see the second last night. I seem to remember in an interview with the actor that plays the captain, he talked about how the show is more for adult viewers... I must fish out that interview...

The second episode had much, much, much more adult content than the first.
